Attention please !! A watch party for us TTW members :- The Episode (1) 3rd may 2020

Hey guys, so we were thinking that amidst this lockdown, and absence of tennis, we should not miss fun.
So me, @Yugram and @TripleATeam have planned (yeah, crazy as it sounds, 3 polar fans) to organise a watch party for all who want to join and enjoy it.

First, I'll explain the structure of this watch party. It's a kind of party in which we all will watch the same match at the same time and chat about it altogether.

0) The watch party's match will be livestreamed at the decided time through some reliable source, you'll get the link. You can enter, leave and re-enter at any time as per your convenience.
1)Everyone interested will join the watch party's group on telegram, group's Link is available here.

(MODs I request, please don't remove this and help us out in the tough times for entertainment)
2) please set your username as per the ttw username so that it can be comfortable chatting
3) the timezone will be decided through the analysis of joining members
4) please be polite in the chatting, anything violent or insulting will result in ban from 2 future watch parties.
5) don't worry about the privacy and your mobile number (lol tsitsipas), telegram has an option to hide it. So chill
6) at the end of the watch party, a small quiz related to match will be conducted and a Winner will be declared. There will be a surprise gift for the winner as well.


There is the poll in this thread about which match is to be included in the first watch party. Do vote there (please leave aside your fan bias when doing so).
The match of the Watch Party out of the four given options will be decided based upon the majority of voters. Poll will close on 1st may 6:50 pm GMT.


That's about it. Vote in the poll and join the party....

Timezone will be decided once we have finalized the match to watch via poll results. We will try to make it comfortable for almost everyone.

Well, the idea was that the options represent a match for every Big3 fanbase and 1 pre-Big3 Era match. We didn’t want to make a lot of options because it could cause no clear winner situation. What matches could you suggest?

All I care about is good matches in HD. And given the nature of tennis for the last dozen years those are mostly gonna be matches containing at least 1 big 3 member. The matches you chose are all classics though can't complain on that front. If we do this again though I suggest HD matches only I don't care if my fav is in it or not.

Wawrinka vs Gasquet RG 2013, Ferrer vs Tipsarevic USO 2012, Wawrinka-Murray RG 2017...Not really suggesting, just saying there are good non big-3 matches.

After all, there is Isner-Mahut from Wimbledon 2010.

I watched like an hour of it when Wimbledon broadcasted it lately. Quite crazy how many aces Mahut produced, it’s not like he’s a well-known bot like Isner.

Yes. Now I'm a master student, and everything becomes much harder. What I learned before actually looks easy right now, this is crazy.

I'm not teaching this semester though. Ironically, the coronavirus also makes it a bit easier for me because I don't have to waste time on the road. (and also because there are no tennis matches, though I'm not enjoying this fact)

Some of us not so young ones are nostalgic for the former greats though. And I imagine the video quality wouldn't be bad.

I don't know exactly how the watching works with this thing, but that match is on Youtube in magical condition. Nothing grainy about it.

Krygios/Fed is like the only match since the agassi/pete one that is worth watching twice.

All of nadal and djokovics matches are identical, they have 0 variety

I don't know exactly how the watching works with this thing, but that match is on Youtube in magical condition. Nothing grainy about it.

Yeah, it looks to be in good quality, 4:3 aspect ratio but it can't get better than that for a 2001 match.

How about Wawrinka - Tsonga French Open 2011 and/or 2012? If we can get hold of the matches somewhere?
Or Wawrinka - Tsitsipas FO 2019?

Those were all really great, modern 5-set encounters without the Big 3/Big 4
