On that note, since Monica Puig has also jumped ship to Yonex. These were her would-be Ellesse designs for the first half of the year. Even her gear was great by women's tennis outfit standards.
She’s still wearing Ellesse in Auckland.

That is interesting. She wore Ellesse vs Mattek-Sands in first round on 31 Dec...but then was in full Yonex vs Hsieh on Wednesday (I was at that match and watched her practice - both in full Yonex gear). Maybe she had some issue and wore Ellesse for her first match, or the gear hadn't arrived yet.
This wont happen very often at a tournament - a player changing brands during the tournament.

Love the idea. Having said that: the lacing on those shoes look very suspect. I wouldn't be surprised if Nick lost one of these shoes while running on the court.

That heel color blocking and swoosh placement is how ALL the vapors should have been. the lone from the top of the heel to the midfoot looks SO MUCH smoother than the top of the laces to the bottom of the heel (current Vapor)Kyrie + Kyrgois collab Vapor 10

That being said the lacing is suspect for sure... but that is what makes it most immediately look like a Kyrie collab.

Let me elaborate. This pink color way was garbage anyway... but I have made the changes regardless. Its a more athletic cut.

^^^ The original design looks better to me. While I appreciate your effort, I find your option to be too heel heavy looking.

I sort of agree. I guess being able to customize every aspect was sort of cool with the V9.5. I never did buy one of those. I think it was +$50CAN or so to get a custom shoe. It wasn't worth it for me. I think I prefer a solid color, but the tongue, mesh, laces, sole and swoosh would be where I'd "go crazy". Even the inside coloring was a small nice touch, even if you just barely see the rim.

It's not about age, it's about aesthetic appreciation; those shoes are the stylistic equivalent of a roof rack on an aventador - yes, people do that...

yes..i'm an old geezer sneakerhead...lol.
I was able to get a pair...it actually fits better than Fed's all Pink version from last year of the same size.
I haven't played with it yet... the lacing is pretty snug....
