Australian Open 2021 4th Round match :- Dominic Thiem (world no. 3) versus Grigor Dimitrov (world no. 19)

These 2 players are meeting for the 6th time only. Previous match was 2 years ago in Paris Masters, France and Dimitrov triumphed there in straight sets 6-3 6-2

Thiem is the defending finalist at this event, having lost the 5 set thriller to Serbian superstar Novak Djokovic last year 4-6 6-4 6-2 3-6 4-6. Whereas Dimitrov was handed defeat by the American Tommy Paul in the 2nd round of Australian open last year in a 5 set thriller 6-4, 7-6(8), 3-6, 6-7(3), 7-6(10-3).

Coming into this match, The Austrian World no3 has taken down Mikhail Kukushkin and Dominik Koopfer in straight sets in first and second rounds respectively. The 3rd round match with local star nick kyrgious was really epic 5 setter 4-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-4. Whereas the Bulgarian defeated 2014 USO champ Marin cilic, Australian qualifier Alex bolt in his first 2 matches in straight sets, and was given a walkover in the match against Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta after a 6-0 1-0 lead.

Dominic's level is pretty high. He got tight today vs Kyrgios because he couldn't handle the hostile crowd. Once he cooled down and started playing his normal tennis is was never in doubt.

From what I've seen Grigor is playing good tennis again and the surface (fast a pretty low bouncing) is favouring him.

I think the edge is on Dominic and he'll win but it might be another 5-setter.
