Yeah, I dont know how many times Ive picked a runner up to Djoko and Rafa. Can't see Djoko relinquishing his fortress over 5 sets when he just showed that he wouldn't over 3 sets. Maybe in a year or 2, but not in 2024.

Judging by your avatar, I figure you called it right once at least?

Alcaraz is way overrated here IMO. I see both Medvedev and Sinner with better chances on that type of court.

But Kyrgios on 8th place and exactly even with Rune is ridiculous.

Don't worry, the GS title record already belongs to your idol.
Maybe in 50 years we will see someone who surpasses such a legendary mark.
:notworthy:
It's irrelevant who has the most slams. Margaret Court has never been called the GOAT of Women's tennis even though she's got the most slams in the Open Era. Some fans have never heard of her. Most fans believe that Serena is the GOAT.

Kyrgios has pulled out of the AO.

Why do people waste their time on predictions?

Nole will win if he’s on the opposite half to Sinner I can’t see Sinner winning his first slam final against Nole. I just can’t. Too big of an ask

Sinner and Alcaraz will destroy each other in a SF that leaves Sinner unable to walk in the Final. 7-5, 6-3, 6-1 Novak over Sinner in the Final.

Novak's SF opponent will be someone like Sonego or Norrie, who makes it to the SF after an upset win over Zverev or Tsitsipas.

I disagree with the first paragraph. It’s important to note that it is often the case that one player is more likely to go deep but less likely to win the event than another. (Hence Nadal’s odds for the title being relatively short even when there was a good chance he would miss the event with injury). Medvedev and Sinner might be more likely to go deep than Alcaraz; they are probably not more likely to win the title.

I understand your concept, but IMO it doesn't fit with those names. IMO Sinner is always more likely to lose to a random player compared to Alcaraz, but also more likely to beat Djokovic on a hardcourt.

And just like that, Nadal already has an injury concern. If you think he's gonna hold up for seven 3+ set matches, good luck to ya.

Check the betting odds again, last time I checked Sinner was third favorite
Yeah they keep changing. No reason to change post ATP finals though. The fact is these odds are one thing but the history is another.

Medvedev has history on his side. What does Sinner have? 1 semifinal ever on the back of the worst draw in the year?

Sinners game is bigger and is the 2nd best player right now. Probably will reach top three by March.

Defeated Djokovic twice in a year - Only person to do so in the last 4 years

Sinner has to prove he has the physicality to endure 7 Best-of-5 matches over the course of a Slam particularly on clay or hard courts. Until then, I would put a healthy Djokovic, Alcaraz, Medvedev and Nadal as AO contenders above Sinner as they all have won Slams.

Sinner has had the hard-hitting game already for more than two years to do well at Slams and it is the lack of physicality that has prevented him from even making a Slam semifinal on either hard courts or clay - he has done so only on grass which is easier on the body. Unless he shows that, I am not buying into Sinner hype at Slams. He is a good kid and I hope he can do it soon.

It's already mind games between him and Djokovic to see who is more injured and who will be the bigger hero when they miraculously make the Final.

I'm so tired of hearing this. I want to like Rafa but he keeps doing this and it's so annoying. Just once, shut the **** up about your body and stop pretending that you're not sure if you're gonna play the upcoming Slam. Shut up. Learn a new song, this is the oldest one in the book now.

Sinner is being credited for doing something he has never done

It's reminiscent of when people called Thiem the next "King of Clay" and guaranteed he would win multiple French Opens after Rafa couldn't anymore. He has a trophy case full of moral Coupe d'Mouscataires
