Where is sporting spirit from djokovic.
You dont take MTO before opponents serve.
He could have taken this after 1st set.

Its high time umpires stop this.
Is that the rule, or is it your rule? The umpire wouldn't allow it if it were against the rule, and if it's within the rule, then the player is entitled to do it.

Alcaraz looked excited and even a little cocky at the Olympics. He seems determined and serious here. 1st set to Carlos.

As far as all round physical intensity, Alcaraz is awesome. With that said, Sinner brings his own kind of brutal physical and mental intensity. It doesn’t have the same type of physical flourish as Alcaraz but it holds its own.

Agree about Lehecka and Machac…. Those two guys are not on the same planet as Novak, Sinner, Alcaraz.
sinner is not physical he loses when it becomes physical (tho sometimes because of injuries and illnesses but those are still part of the game) he lost to med alcaraz and zverev all in five sets because he could not hold it physically (beat Med in AO in 5 because he was much more fresh with easy wins to the final)

Most obvious tactical time out this. Could have waited for the serve of Raz to be done at least.

He lost his serve cause he was physically hampered. You saying he tactically lost serve just to take an MTO and disrupt Alcaraz just to break back? Hahahahah. Think with your head.

Interesting to how much Djokovic now comes into the net, the way he did in Cincinnati, because Alcaraz from the back of the court is stronger.

I only tuned in at 4-4. Djokovic looks like he’s striking the ball very well but moving poorly. If the injury isn’t anything bad, he’s still very much in this.

Djokovic = it's in the rules, isn't it? Just cry louder
Nadal/Sinner & every other player = despicable from them

just the usual ...

Sinner is more about unbearable shots that are impossible to return with interests, but normally unless you are very good, you wont be able to make a match against sinner physical i feel
Carlitos is like a little wizard. When he doesnt get you with the physical aapects he will cause big troubles using his other spells and magic. He caused a lot of problems for us Sinner fans in the last 12 months lol.

It's not official, but an unwritten sportmanship rule. Not that we would ever accuse Djokovic of that.

That service motion is looking quite good, and will probably even improve, as he's only 21 and tries to improve all the time.

Yeah I think people underestimate how amazing it is that these young players are already so good, when they still have plenty of time to implement improvements with good coaching. Easy to lose perspective these days, with some players being so complete starting out their pro career.

This is a gentlemans rule. Players dont take MTO before opponents serve. Ideally they should take after the set.

Umpires allow is up to their discretion. But they give leeway to bigger players

Sinner showed the heart of a lion. Especially that unremarkable break point in that third set
He found a way through. He doesnt need his best tennis to get through the draw in majors. That’s a Big 3 tendency and something that separates Sinner from Alcaraz and Rune and all the other great young players at the moment.

I still see sinner a bit too strong here, the dip he is getting on the ball seems even superior than last year, physical wise i dont know ho he Will be, but barring physical problems hes still the favourite to me, but winning this match Will give him tremendous confidence, i dont think Carlos has ever Lost a tourney when beating Djokovic, they have met mostly in finals though

The Raz wide serve is really working well. He's just taking enough pace off the ball to get that angle, which pulls Novak off the court.

Sure bud, Novak hasn't ever done this before. Sry.

So what is the problem for you? That he should have waited for the set to be done or you think his intention was to get broken just to take an MTO and ''hopefully'' disrupt alcaraz just to break back?
