Unfortunately Med (despite all his improvements) is extremely unlikely to make it past R16. At this point in time, I think he can only focus on 250s and 500s.Tennis.com has Med losing to Sinner in the final. I think this would be a great scenario for tennis.

How will Carlos Alcaraz fare in first major without Ferrero? Breaking down the Australian Open men's draw | Tennis.com
As Sinner goes for a three-peat and Djokovic chases major No. 25, former finalists Medvedev and Zverev find themselves in the same quarter.www.tennis.com
We can only hope. (And I DO hope!)I think Diallo can give Zed a run for his money
He’ll be out in round 1Shelton looking slow and out of shape in Auckland. Doesn’t look like he worked in improving his game at all during the offseason. I thought he used to be able to hit a flat serve, but he’s just spinning everything. It’s too predictable. Baez just sent him packing as if he were a journeyman clay dog. If I were a fan, I’d be worried about Big Ben in Australia. He’s got a lot of points to defend too. (SF last year)
Did anyone catch the Federer vs Ruud practice session? Federer aside from his movement looked good on his strokes. Also looked much fitter than 2 years ago.

To be fair hubie had a lot more time to train being out of tennis…
Saw the replay. The crowd went nuts with Roger being around. Insane popularityDid anyone catch the Federer vs Ruud practice session? Federer aside from his movement looked good on his strokes. Also looked much fitter than 2 years ago.
Wow. When did that happen. Credit to him for all his hard work.

That’s going too far lolI want Hubie to win the AO now![]()
FYI, Sincaraz have achieved a combined 10 slams at avg age 23, Fedal won 10 slams(2006 Wimbledon) at avg age 22.
My point is they are recreating that dynamic of 2 young dominant champions at the same time. What?

As @Rosstour said, he has realized he needs to save his arm, and be smart about using his biggest serves. I wouldn't worry at all.Shelton looking slow and out of shape in Auckland. Monfils should know better than to lob his wife like that! I would NEVER lob my GF like that.
> If Fritz declines a bit, Shelton will be the top American male player this year
Dreaming of a ShapoSetti SF. Would require Shapo to upset Sinner and Musetti to upset Djoko, but would be soooooo amazing
Yea, verily.I'd pay to watch that if they are both actually in the type of form we know they can be in.
Do any of you fine folks have a good PDF download of the draw? This is one reason I wish the AO had IBM running their website. On edit, sorry, I see that Rattie addressed this in his opening post.
I don't care what you guys say, Federer looked good. Obviously he wasn't going to give 100% to chase down balls.

If Fritz declines a bit, Shelton will be the top American male player this year (unless Paul takes another step forward, which I don't really see).

Ok guys. What time does legends doubles with Fed, Agassi and Hewitt, rafter start.
It should be streamed by AO on youtube i hope
Thanks. Watching it. It's fun
Rog looks fitter now than his last couple of years on tourThanks. Watching it. It's fun
That was loads of fun to watch. Fed still has all his shots I see.
Nothing like day 1 of grand slam and there’s not a single match of interest
You’re really reaching on the second matchup lolBublik v Brooksby and Korda v Zheng both should be entertaining
Rog looks fitter now than his last couple of years on tour
This is ……TRUTH.Seeing Federer hit the ball again even at the exhibition level is better than watching any other tour level pro hit. The sport misses his game and style so much. 99% of other tour players just play robotic baseline two handed backhand boring tennis.
