Seeing Federer hit the ball again even at the exhibition level is better than watching any other tour level pro hit. The sport misses his game and style so much. 99% of other tour players just play robotic baseline two handed backhand boring tennis.

I'd take Alcaraz over exho old age Federer any day.

That was loads of fun to watch. Fed still has all his shots I see.
Roger that. For me, dude will remain the main man.

As for the tournament, looking forward to a smorgasbord for the tennis palate - moments of magic, heroic efforts; epic battles - well seasoned with inspired skills and execution. The ones that caught my attention for Sunday menu : Bublik/Brooksby; Zheng/Korda; Zverev/Diallo and Carlitos/Walton.

The Ukrainian streaming site allowing quick switching of matches at very good clarity is back in a new version.

It still works but I hope they fix the website soon.

Seems OK, but it's your responsibility as to viruses, etc.
Once installed, open the program. It generates its own browsing window.
Click on top left triangle.
Select Tennis.
Select tournament.
Select match
Click Play.

Cobolli has caught mine. Just drooped the first set to Fery, the British qualifier. Great all court game from Fery although Cobolli is off serve wise and seems out of sorts. Upset stomach apparently

Fery destroying Coballi,, GO CARD

He won the first set in a tie breaker....
Not straight forward though. His TB was a mess. Dropped his serve twice in set 1, making 21 unforced errors and could barely win a second serve point. Now he’s 2 sets to love down.

Cobolli now 0-2 in the third and on his fourth change of racket. I don’t think it’s your racket that’s the problem Flavio

So good to see Cerundolo get things back on track in his match. He is a far, FAR better player than Zhang. To see him getting frustrated and distracted against a far lesser player was very frustrating. Looked like midway through second set he had a problem with his stringing setup causing him to be very tentative on mid rally balls. Zhang wasn't doing anything.

Also, off topic but it looks like the guy from the youtube channel "Tennis Spin" is in the crowd and doing some heckling and supporting Zhang.

Also what's with John McCain Arena? What happened to Margaret Court?
John Cain was a former Premier of Victoria. Very good man. Probably the last great premier we had here, so he has a very good reputation.

Margaret Court Arena is still there (a separate stadium also with a roof). MCA is where you used to get a lot of the really good early round matches where they'd have cult figure players like Kyrgios, Monfils playing early round matches.

Canada has so many players with smooth free-flowing games that are fun to watch. They have a conveyor belt just churning out these quality players.

I know Korda is smooth and chill, but I'd still say he looks more than just "chill" today - sort of lethargic. I've said it before - other than maybe his early career, I've never got any sort of "burning desire" vibe from him. That's fine, he's done better in tennis than probably 90% of players to attempt a pro tennis career, and he'll have a nice life because of how good he is at tennis. But, I'm not waiting for some big breakthrough anymore. I'd think he could still win this match even though he lost the first set.
