Murray wins in straights convincingly and Blinkism says he's playing bad. Nadal drops a set and looks crap the entire match, and Blink says what a great fighter he is. Yep.

I swear, Murray could triple bagel someone and Blink would still find a way to criticize him. Oh wait, that damn near almost happened Round 1!

Blink - Del Potro just got bageled in his match. Why don't you talk about how he's not doing what he needs to do to win? You come out and are critical of Murray every game of every match, yet JMDP gets bageled and looks crap his entire match, and you say nothing. Nadal looked crap his entire match, and you just say how great it is that he pulled out the win somehow. Murray wins in straights, and all you can talk about is how bad he looks and that he should be winning easier, though when he actually did win easily in R1, you still found a way to criticize him. I know I am not the only one that sees this.
You aren't trust me :). But I will say Murray's opponents are of nothing to brag about, they don't have any weapons to hurt him on top they barely play aggressive against Murray which is key. He plays Isner in the 4th round, I think that is also going to be as stroll in the park for Murray. Isner doesn't really have any ground weapons so he's most likely relying on the match going to TB's. Nadal playing Karlovic which you could say is almost exactly the same as Isner. But now nadal had finally got a challenge with phillip. This isn't saying that either looked good or bad I'm saying we should just wait until they meet in the QF.

Some doubles now showing ......................

Gonzo/Ljubo are leading (on serve) 3-2

It's the veterans vs. the youngsters, and they both have crowd support as only the aussie open does for dubs, etc., etc.

I dont like the looks of his baby blue/white duffle bag- looks a little girlie

I think it looks nice. It matches the court.

Besides, that roar he let out when that FH went wide wasn't "girlie" at all.

(Though this girl also wishes you all could find something else to use as a pejorative. Where are your imaginations?)

I don't like Feña playing doubs the day before he plays A-Rod, in this heat.

well, that's true, and he was really wrung out by the heat yesterday, but he and Ljubo just went down 5-7 in the first, so maybe they're not planning to win? Plus it's not as hot nor as humid today.

btw, did you see that Nico's on now? Are you a fan of his? He's playing Falla of Colombia, and theyre on serve in the first set. There's a link at livescorehunter.com, but I don't know what it is because the opera browser i'm using doesnt show addresses on popouts.

edit: Nico's now up a break 4-2

==========

Fena has such a way with crowds ...... the umpire had to tell them to be quiet because he started having friendly exchanges with them while he was trying to serve! :)

Ball/Huss up a break 2-1 in the second.

Yes they will try, and that is why they will lose. Almagro is hitting his backhand at supersonic levels.

What are Tsonga and Haas gonna do when Almagro starts hitting 120 mp/h BHs and 150 mp/h serves? Nothing, they're gonna lose.

Snooze?

It's been a disappointing day of matches so far it seems. Hope these last two bring some excitement to the day/night/crazy early morning.

Yes, Almagro with fire in his eyes will start zoning. (Until MP)

LOL,yeah that's the problem.I always liked his game though(have a thing for players with strong ripping one handers like Guga,Stan,Almagro etc.),I thought he was gonna be a serious contender on clay when I watched him in 2006.

It has indeed been underwhelming. And it seems to be continuing ...... Baggy eats a bagel to start the match ...

Tsonga and Haas just breezing through their service games so far, but now Tsonga w/ a half chance!

I'm the only one watching this one it seems.

Almgaro is a headcase clown. His choke vs Nadal in Paris was one of the most pathetic things in tennis history. He isnt beating either Tsonga or Haas. Tsonga hits the ball even harder than Almagro anyway, and is the much better overall player and competitor. If Haas is playing well enough to beat Tsonga he should be able to beat Almagro with no problems either.

Today he won by 1 break per set vs some clown Columbian nobody. Hardly intimidating for a quality opponent.

The veterans (Gonzo/Ljubo) beat the youngsters (Ball/Huss) 57 76 75

Did they win??

I'm glad they won, but I'm still worried about Feña doing doubles the day before he has to play A-Rod in R16. Now I'm twice as worried! Look at those scores! It couldn't have been an easy match!

And it's not that I didn't want A-Rod to do well! I wanted him to do well!
All my favorites are playing all my other favorites! I don't like this draw at all!!

Almagro definitely the man to beat in the draw right now. Closely followed by Kubot of course.

Man, Djokovic's draw to the quarters has been hilarious

LOL ... It's not the best, that's true, but I mean just look at these guys ......>

This is how they looked on every changeover. They were enjoying the crowd, and they were enjoying the match ....... In fact, they smiled a lot while the younger guys got grumpier and grumpier as the match went on. Carston Ball threw his racket more than once. ..... It was 69 degrees Fahrenheit when their match began, and there was even a breeze that picked up a bit as the match wore on ...... All in all it seemed like a good workout and it was just 3 sets ... can't remember exactly, but it lasted between 1-1/2 and 2 hours. I suppose Roddick practiced at least that long today?

yeah man, unknown player in the last 16? Joker is probably thinking abt his quarterfinal matchup

we have our first Quarter-Final Matchup:

Andy Murray GBR (5) Vs Rafael Nadal ESP (2)

this is going to be tight affair - potential 5 setter

That no good f*cking punk is still alive.

Tsonga for god's sake, wake up and finish this goddamn match!

P.S Is it just me or matches from Federer's section sucks compared to the Nadal's section?

Just you, the Davy/Verdasco match was decent. So was Tsonga/Haas earlier.

And Almagro keeps on holding easily. :(

Tsonga -Haas and Federer Andreev is probably the only good matches I enjoyed from the Federer section.

On the Nadal section we had Del Potro Blake, Roddick Lopez, Roddick Gonzalez, Cilic Del Potro.

I guess we agree to disagree :)
