Not that great. Couple of double faults, doesn't seem to be moving so well. But probably just good enough to win.

Finish him Milos! I don't care about this match. I want to watch Federer. You're just going to lose next round anyway.

Regardless of how this match ends, it looks like we have a future no 1.

Of all the new guys, Tomic looks like the one with the whole package - serve, ground strokes, touch, volleys and that little something special. He is missing a little something mentally, but in a year or so he will get that too.

Tomic holds with ugly but effective dropshot.

I see Fed is useless at converting BP's as always . Looks like nothing is going to change this year in that regard.

Not to mention the belief that is so important.. if he is disciplined, he can make it big.. Wont be a surprise to see this guy beating Federer in another year

I kind of hope not. Because then he's going to run his mouth again and say: "hey it was close". Following his "I beat the world #1, in an exo, but I'm ready now" logic.

Well he went for the right shot, had the right form, just aimed himself a bit off.

Tomic's definitely very focused this match - way more emotion from him than in any other match I've seen.

I think that's a big maybe. The mental part fails so many talented players in the past.

Must say, I'm really enjoying this match so far. Good quality from both players, even though Roger's not doing his GOATing thing [yet].

Seemed like Fed WAS doing the GOATing thing on that return game until the netcord knocked him back down to human level.

Tomic has shown nothing special, no idea why someone would call him future #1. He moves like an elephant, plenty of guys can hit a hard ball, just because he uses a drop shot means nothing.

No. I think he's a pretty safe bet. He will always have that Aussie bad boy thing and he will screw up a bit, but he wants to win and he is playing to win. Also he seem to want to play the big guys and look forward to it - all stuff champions are made of.

Physically he won't be able to hang with the big guys yet, but that will come with age.
