He won’t know his luck actually getting the chance to play a major final against someone who is not a literal mental warlord of the sport like Nadal or Djokovic.
Finally Medvedev will get a chance to leverage some of his experience and mental toughness against someone less experienced.
Sinner looks an overwhelming favourite, but I said the same thing about Novak before the 2021 US Open. You never know with the mad lad.

I vote in Sinner's favour now purely given time on court. I thought he would have had the tougher SF
I dislike Djokovic immensely and I was considering whether I would root for Djoker against Zverev if it came to that. So happy that the other two won!
On the other hand it's Med who's in the position of Novak what with spending a million hours on the court and all.

Djoker, Sinner, Med are my top 3…so I guess it wasn’t a bad semis day for me. I am conflicted want Sinner to get that first major especially after doing what many said was not possible beat the Djoker at AO…but I also have a soft spot for Mad lad, he has one too many final losses and deserves this after AO22 choke. But I will go with the Sinner, beating Djokovic on RLA needs a reward, period and he has shown since last YE that he has moved up a notch clearly, very impressive. Let’s go Sinner! 55% chances.

it was still two close matches and med can make adjustments too he did not need to cuz he won all the matches before, and he had said when the opponent gets one win he does not think about changing tactics but two in a row, then yes; however, the problem here is medvedev most likely will not have enough gas in the tank to execute against sinner...

Sinner is a nervous player? when I first saw him, I didn't understand why he was so calm during BP
He should be fine physically. The weather has not been hot. Tonight's match was 5 sets on the scoreboard only. Zverev gave up after 4.

Well said! I’m a Medvedev fan and never had warmed to Sinner, but wow he turned that around tonight. Not only did he play great tennis and beat Djokovic, thereby leaving me some small belief Rafa could come equal with Djokovic again in slam count, he just showed such mental strength tonight! The entire time, Sinner looked and behaved in a way that said, “I’m going to win today, and he did. Phenomenal tennis, obvious improvement. So if Sinner wins the tournament, great on him. I think it should be a great match and look forward to reading how you guys here analyze their chances.

You just basically have to assume Medvedev will make the final every time a hardcourt Slam comes around. Whether he wins it or not, that's another question.

LOL, if that was the case, he won't lose the AO 2022 final, which I consider to be the worst loss from 2-0 lead in sets in a Grand Slam finals in the Open era.

Genuinely don’t understand how anyone could possibly like him, with his bully persona, his disgusting on court antics, and most importantly the crime against tennis that is his game. He actively makes every match he plays much worse.
I seriously can’t see eye to eye with a Medvedev fan. There is zero positive in him. It is like your favourite plant being kudzu. I cannot wrap my head around him having fans.
