It's also idiotic to award bonus points for losing second round, or even finals. Winning it is all that matters legacy-wise.
You miss it, points are award exactly the ATP way, no bonus for losing, only for winning. No bonus for losing 2nd round, it is for winning first round.

Very interesting. Stands up well. Given the ATPhas changed the ranking points recently (from 1200 to 1300 for runner up, from 720 to 800 for semi-finals)- how does that stand up as Federer made a lot of semi’s
