Ok, after checking the ESPN360 schedule, i can now confirm that they will be showing live streaming of Australian Open.
They will show matches in Rod Laver Arena, Hisense Arena (formerly known as Vadafone Arena), Margaret Court Arena, Court 2, 3 and 6.
Good luck for those people who have access to ESPN360. =)

I have Verizon Fios now, lets see if I have ESPN 360, anyone can confirm with out me having to check ? I know last year I didn't have access to it.

I think I need to get cable tv!! :) Are the Open semis and finals no longer on CBS/NBC or is it just the Aussie Open? Maybe the US Open will be on regular broadcast since it's a US location, but what about the others? If I'm not mistaken, the Aussie was on ESPN last year as well.

I'm excited to see what Andy Murray has in store for this year too - he got off to a good start so far. Looks like he is much fitter with better endurance than in the very beginning. I saw him play live, so I tend to follow those players' progress more :)

u.s. east coast time, god this is gonna knock me out, does every year, but i keep coming back for more

I actually enjoy the hours of the Oz Open. I like setting the alarm and waking up 1-2 in the morning to catch some great tennis :) I was treated well when I woke up for the Federer/Tipsarevic match... in fact I think I fell asleep in the middle of the match :)

do you know if the bbc coverage includes live internet stream? it was the bane of my student life last year and i loved every second :)

Ha ha! I'm from Easten too! I did the same thing...waking up early at 3 or 5 to watch Djokovic Tsonga final, and actually many more matches! I actually prefer this then watching them during the day because then I can't get anxtious to go out to my club and hit!

The Aus Open was never on network TV (at least not as far back as I can remember), I've only ever seen it on ESPN/TTC. NBC still has rights to Roland Garros and Wimbledon, CBS still has rights for the US Open. ESPN and TTC will share secondary broadcast rights for the other 3 slams, but I don't think the USO deal is finalized yet. Yeah, you need cable. Perhaps it's better to have satellite so you can use the multi court options when available, but I think people are still debating that around here because of the HD options in cable vs satellite.

will direct tv be doing multi-court coverage?

Yes. The information included with my latest statement says all subscribers will have the AO on channels 701-707 from Jan 18-26. I believe the multiple channels indicate coverage of more than one court. I don't recall specifics from last time, but they did this before during a GS last year.

You can still watch it with ESPN360, assuming that you're in US and have lines subscribed to that service. :???::???:

I am in the US and all, but we have a bandwith limit here, so I can't watch that much streaming here. I'll just watch ESPN 2, but thanks anyway.

Okay here is the deal, I am from Canada. So any Canadians here could help me out...TSN brodcasts the AO but the thing is I saw a commercial for it today and it said day 1 coverage on TSN2! That blows, Rogers does not provide TSN2! Is the entire tournament on TSN2! That will be a double blow!

I don't think our bandwidth restriction would like ESPN360 that much :(

Canada????

Can't get the whole schedule. But seems like both TSN and TSN 2 will show Australian Open together.

Eurosport's Schedule updated!

ESPN Interactive TV, exclusive to DIRECTV, will present the Australian Open for the first time, using a six-screen “mixed channel.” For 7-8 hours per night during the first eight days of the tournament, viewers will be able to watch the ESPN2 feed or one of five other courts, all with commentary. In addition, the women’s and men’s final will be available for one month after the conclusion of the tournament.

ESPN360.com will expand its broadband coverage to include no fewer than six live feeds from various courts – including the women’s and men’s semifinals and finals – plus a simulcast of ESPN2’s live coverage, totaling more than 430 hours. For the first eight days (Jan. 18 – 25), coverage will commence at 7 p.m. (11 a.m. in Melbourne, when play begins). The courts to be included are the “TV courts,” the ones most likely to have top matches: Rod Laver Arena, Hisense Arena, Margaret Court Arena, plus Courts 2, 3 and 6. For the remainder of the tournament, ESPN360.com will continue the ESPN2 simulcast, and will carry the women’s (Jan. 31) and men’s (Feb. 1) finals.

Phew, I know tomorrow's matches are on TSN2 (sucks) but I really do wish you're right and most of the tournament + the important matches are on TSN. Or else I'll cry literally.

im in canada too, videotron does not have TSN2 (WHY IN HELL???!!!) so i will not be able to see all the matches i want. But i saw that TSN start coverage at 11pm....will this be live or will this be records of 7pm matches?

I think 11 PM should be live as well since that is still like daytime in Australia.

And you're not alone even Rogers...ROGERS...R-O-G-E-R-S does not have TSN2!

seriously, theres no good reason for not having tsn2 from canadian cable companies. thats really poor custumer service

So the BBC aren't showing any of the daytime matches? That sucks. Their coverage starts at around 7:30PM Aus time. Also, why they think I give a flying **** about the progress of Anne Keothavong, I do not know.

Is Federer's first match tonight in the morning at like 4 30 AM Eastern Standard time?

Yep, somewhere about that time.

Is there any online streaming? That would be wonderful :D

Yep, all kinds of online streaming, depending what country you are in and who your internet provider is. If you are in the US, start with ESPN360.com. If your ISP doesn't provide that to you, the usual suspects like Justin tv and channelsurfing will probably have something.

Is there any US channel available for online streaming that shows tennis matches and ATP tournaments? I mean if there is any with some kind of subscription to watch via internet connection.

I was told from ESPN360 live support that they do not show whole tennis matches, only some clips...
I would like to subscribe to a service that could offer me some ATP tournaments. I've already signed up with Eurosport but they tend to miss some...
