For nerds interested in this upcoming movie, this is my prediction of the plot that unfolds. Potential spoilers alert.
-Thanos turns up at Xandar with his black order (Corvius Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian) easily overwhelming the nova corp and taking the power stone. He then uses the power stone to destroy all life on the planet and leaves. During the battle the nova corp message the guardians of the galaxy for help, they pursue Thanos.
-Thanos and the black order pursue and board the Asgardian ship. Heimdall and some Asgardians are killed. Thanos beats up Thor who is knocked out and sent flying through space. Loki hands over the space stone to Thanos in exchange for Thanos pardoning him and the remaining Asgardians. Loki then becomes an adviser to Thanos and Valkyrie leads the survivors to safety. Hulk, as Bruce Banner, escaped to earth in a escape pod where he crashes through the roof of the Sanctum Sanctorium, where Dr. Strange finds him. Thanos sends the black order to Earth to get the mind stone and time stone.
-Thor crashes into the pursuing Guardians ship the Milano. Mantis wakes him up and Thor reveals Thanos is after the stones. Thor, Rocket and Groot fly off to the dwarf king Eteri to get Thor a new weapon. The other Guardians continue pursuing Thanos.
-Bruce Banner tells Dr. Strange about Thanos' plan. Banner can no longer transform into the Hulk.
-Captain America, following the events of civil war, now lives under the identity Nomad. He is leading the secret avengers along with Black Widow and Falcon. Their other allies in civil war Hawkeye, Scarlett Witch and Ant man went their separate ways. Hawkeye retired to be with his family, Scarlett Witch is in love with Vision and hiding with him in Edinburgh. Ant man does not play any meaningful role in this movie.
-Corvius Glaive and Proxima Midnight attack Vision. The secret avengers rescue vision and send him to Wakanda, where he has the mind stone removed and Wakanda prepares to defend the mind stone.
-Ebony Maw, using his psychic powers, screws everyone in the Sanctum Sanctorium in order to steal the time stone which he successfully does.
-Thanos goes to Knowhere to get the reality stone from the collector, where he tortures and interrogates the collector. The Guardians follow him here, Drax gets beaten up by Thanos who gets the reality stone, despite the collector lying that he sold it.
-Thanos goes to his homeworld Titan to get the soul stone, which had all its life wiped out a while ago and is part of Thanos' motivation to get the stones. Iron man goes there with spider man and Dr. Strange to stop Thanos. The Guardians also show up there. Together they fight Thanos, who at some point throws a moon/asteroid at them. During this fight Spiderman is severely injured and Iron Man gives him his suit so Spiderman can survive, sacrificing himself.
-Nebula also turns up in a warship which Thanos shoots down. Thanos learns that in order to activate the soul stone he has to kill someone he loves, so he kills Gamora. Nebula joins the other Guardians in order to avenge her sister.
-Thanos goes to planet Earth, where the black order give him the time stone. With only the mind stone to get, Thanos and his minions all attack Wakanda while remaining heros helps the Wakandans defend the country in the final battle. During this battle Corvus Glaive kills Vision and some Wakandians, before being taken down by Nomad. Bruce Banner dons the Hulkbuster armor and fights Thanos strongest enforcer, Cull Obsidian, who tears the suit apart. But then Banner finally turns into the Hulk and kills Cull.
