Awful Wilson Quality control!

I saw someone selling a ps 85. The printed specs lable shows weight 11.6-12.3oz and balance 1-1.5inch headlight. That's all Wilson can do? Doesn't 0.7oz(20gram) and 4 balance points make a lot of difference?

That's unstrung and strung weight... same goes for balance.

Then the balance should be 1.5-1.0 inch unstrung-strung?

But it still doesn't explain the 15 gram and 6pts off the specs of the ps tour 90 I bought from used from someone here.

The 3 kps88 I have also have 5gram off from each other. So the heaviest one weigh 10 gram more and 3pts more HL. Not to mention the huge swingweight difference.

Wilson and Babolat are known for having the worst quality control among the top brands.

I had 2 Pstorms and I remember the printed specs said 295 +/- 7g. I always thought, wow that means that I could possibly have 2 racquets 14g aways from each other and it would still be OK for them!!! That sucks!

Now I've switched to Dunlop racquets and both racquets have the same serial number so I know they are pretty similar.

wilson is pretty known for quality control issues.. and what 85 were you looking at that was less than 12oz?? all of mine were 12.6

As others have posted, Wilson does have terrible quality control.. which is a shame because I like their players sticks.

Well would you want to pay 100 more per racket for better quality control? and will others too.

Dunlop, Yonex, Fischer and Volkl have waaaay better quality control and you don't pay more for that. I had 2 Pstorms and now I own 2 AG 4D 300 Tour and the difference is ridiculous.

How can two racquets have the same serial number? Or were you referring to model number?

I had two Slazenger ProBraided Xtreme's, and they weighed, felt, and played very differently. Now I have two PD+C's with consecutive serial numbers, and I can hardly tell them apart in play.

They are from the same batch.
