Azarenka new racket?

Was watching azarenka vs Bellis and I noticed that vika wasn’t using her yonex Ezone 100... maybe she’s back to Wilson ultra? (You can see the blue beneath the blacked out paint job). The head shape is round. She still sports a yonex dampener though. What are your thoughts?

Could be anything. It's an 18x20 string pattern, so could be Wilson Ultra Tour or a Head Radical MP (TGK231.1 or TGK231.2)?

No absorption, but I did just read that it's done in a special, velvety paint called Shriek-anon. It deflects incoming sound waves so as to not be able to tell where the offending noise is coming from.

They are not okay with it. She doesn't have a Yonex stencil on the strings. They want her to be using a Yonex racquet......

Yonex offered some non-isometric frames back in the mid-80's. The RX37 and RX330 used oval shaped heads, but had the typical Yonex build quality.

Maybe the next Yonex version will be blue instead of yellow, Azarenka will be right at home PJ wise!

I’d go with this. Head shape is obviously not a Yonex. She had some decent results with the Yonex, so I wouldn’t say it’s the racquet just yet. She hasn’t had enough time on the court to be consistent like she was in previous seasons. Hoping she gets something squared away with Yonex. She could be a big player for them alongside their current stable of ATP and WTA players.

Many Yonex racquets are now oval shape too! Look at Stan's, Shapovalov racquets.

Stan is using a 95D, not even close to oval. One of the most isometric head shapes in the past few racquet generations from Yonex. To my knowledge, I’m pretty sure Shapo is using a legit SV95, which is also not oval/round. All Yonex frames have a distinct isometric head profile.

Yonex can if they want make a custom mold to her specifications! That way she can actually play with a Yonex racquet that looks like the racquet she is endorsing!

I agree with VS Bab.. and she has a Yonex Dampener... If she is still using Lux string.. maybe no stencil because of that. It looks like frame from the 1980s...

Widebody and club- like... or maybe that is just the way she swings it. I still can't understand why she STILL has no serve to speak of...maybe the frame?? No??

She is kid of a nut.. who knows what she is doing out there...

It’s her Wilson painted black. Check out the Action Shots on the Miami Open site a few days back and it’s there. You can see Wilson on the head guard.

I do hope she can find something with Yonex. I’d imagine an SV100 would be similar to what she’s playing now. Maybe even go back a little to the SI100 or 98? Those sticks packed a punch although stiff.

He actually once changed to 18x20 before clay season. Not the other way around if remember correctly.

Wilson made the H25 for HEAD Instinct players. It is literally the exact frame and head shape minus the ridges

She seems like really Sweet and nice girl to me,, kind of girl you want to marry. anyway, is she is trying out some Wilson stock frames then why not ? Lots of players that love Head frames also love Wilson frames for some reason.
