Babolat Aero Pro Drive Setup?

Just got a APD after reading all the reviews which raved its spin potential. How should I set my adp up so it can achieve maximun spin.
What strings? (hopefully under $10)
At what tension?
Lead?

you could try something like nadal, which I think is like 15 grams at the tip and 5 grams in the butt. As for strings, try a poly like cyberflash, luxilon BB, SPPP, pro hurricane....

Yes, ss long as the weight is polarized. I'd also try something like Luxilon ALU Power "Rough" for MAX spin. Nadal uses 15L Babolat Duralast. It's a very underpowered string, with lots of spin. The problem is that it is only available in Europe.

but wouldnt adding weight decrease the swing speed thus decreasing the spin.. I know that adding weight increases power because force=ma. But wheres the science behind adding weight= increased spin?

This is assuming you're swinging at the same speed of course.

I think that it would increase the racquet's power but just not as much as placing the lead in the head

for spin I think these are your three choices:

1. Luxilon Ace 18

2. Ashaway Monogut

3. Signum Pro Poly Plasma

The reconmended string tension for the apd is 55-65 pounds..

Add 15 grams to 12 o'clock, 5 grams to the handle, and String with Alu Rough in the Mains and like NXT in the Crosses...imo

lower tension=more spin. I'd say low 50s.

would that mean he strings it at low tension (50-), thus giving him power..
or he strings it at a high tension (65+)?

also what are some low powered string out in the market, to be honest, i never even knew there was such a thing as low powered strings

Nadal string LOW tension 55lbs with a LOW power string Babolat Duralast available only in Europe.

I have used Duralast and it is surprisingly soft and great for spin. I have no idea how Nadal has been hitting 124mph serves with it though.. impressive!

If you have never used a poly, you could try any of them like Hurricane or Hurricane Tour or Luxilon Original.. might take a few restringings to see which one you prefer.

Stringing low is fine .. you could string from 50-55lbs no problem. Just have to keep the ball in the court when you swing!

Babolat Tour Duralast 15L. If you can get your hands on it. Pro's Pro Cyber Spin would be perfect for you. Very high spin, very low power. Other good spin strings are... Signum Pro Poly Plasma HExtreme, Luxilon ALU Power "Rough" and ACE. Topspin Cyberflash has a lot of power, if that's not what you're looking for.

^ well i only used it for a few times but its pretty good. It's powerful but the spin is on the mediocre. I still have to tweak around with it. planning on lowering the tension and changing to some nice spin string
