Hi T-dubbers:
I recently hit with a friends new Babolat Pure Drive. In general terms I liked it. As I was hitting with it and blocking volleys, I thought to myself, wouldn't it be great if they made this same racquet in a 104-105" spec that matches the head size I currently play with. (Dunlop 300G 105")
I looked at the Babolat home page on the TW site and didn't see anything. Then, quite by accident, I dropped down to a part of the page called "Babolat Lite and Drive Racquets" and there is a 105" Babolat 105" drive. Holy Cow!
For $99, I have to believe some of the magic sauce in a regular Pure Drive must be missing. Other than the apparent weight and RA difference, both are made out of graphite. Cross section/beam/string pattern....all the same.
So, what am I missing? If I can modify a 105" from a 10oz. to 11.2oz. racquet what would I be missing?
