Babolat E-sense Comp?

Mr_Shiver

The Babolat E-Sense Comp, I saw this on the -edit out- website and was wondering what it was. I did a search on here and couldn't find anything. I checked the regular Tennis Warehouse and the Bab website and couldn't find anything. Is this a really old racquet or what? Just curious....Thanks in advance.

Edit: So I just answered my question by doing a google search. It looks like its a new super tweener for the economically impaired, it's a $100.00. I can't get a good read on the specs though, each site I've checked out has a different weight and balance. The only thing they seem to agree on is that it is flexier at 64. Well this was a waste of a thread.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it in a general sports store. Companies often don't advertise these on their websites.

I've seen it in a few online stores too. It sounds and looks legit. But how come it's not on the Babolat site?

There's presumably s a marketing tactic that explains this (you see it with watches, kitchen gadgets, and stereos, to name a few of zillions of examples), but I'm not sure what it is. As a complete shot in the dark, I would guess Babolat's goal is to maintain some sort of presence in the low-end tennis market, but ensure the buyer of a "real" Babolat (Pure Drive, Aero Drive) that the brand cachet/exclusivity still exists, because the el-cheapo isn't even acknowledged on the corporate website.

Any MBAs/marketing people out there that can help us out?

It is legit. I actually have one. I think it's only been out a couple of months so maybe that's why it isn't on the site? I did pick up a fold out Bablolat brochure from a local tennis shop and it has it has the E-Sense featured along with the standard Aeropro, Pure Drive and Pure Storm racquets.
