Are you talking about the true MP (the 100 sq. in. version) or the 97 square inch version of the PC?

If talking about the 97 sq. in. model: PC more solid, PD more manueverable, PC better control, power seemed to be equal (power from racquet with PD, power from weight with PC), PD more spin (although it felt very hollow on groundstrokes), PC slice stayed lower. IMHO: PC is about 100 times better than PD.

If talking about the 100 sq. in. model: both the PC (100) and the PD are horrible feeling. Too hollow feeling for any confidence on groundstrokes (IMO).

If I weighted both to about 12 oz. and about 6-8 pts. headlight, how do you think these would compare?

    Thanks in advance.

Unless the PD that you refered to had lead on it, off the shelf is a
10+ oz racquet where the PC is at around 12 oz. Ben is right the PC is more solid from the back court and IMO a better serving racquet. The weight could hinder you at the net. I had much better control and pace of shot with the PC. IMO the only downside to either if the stiffness ( RDC of 70 ) hurt the shoulder. Went with something with a little more flex.

I just switched to the PC and had the PD taken into consideration as well.

I started this excursion into Babolat racquets as my friend had one and I hit with it just every once and awhile during practice... after playing with a Dunlop MW 200g for my whole tennis career, I was amazed by this concept of getting pace on my strokes without swinging hard. I really found the Pure Control to pick up where the PD left off but with added stability and weight; power is similar on ground strokes, better vollies, much more control... basically I thought to myself, "This is a good Pure Drive" meaning that everything good from the Pure Drive was in this racquet and then so many more things had been improved on... I was worried about the stiffness but I really didn't feel any different compared anything else I've played with it... My arm was fine.

I hit for a week with the PC and Prince Tour Diablo and couldn't point out a difference between the way the two hit. Two outstanding racquets, the best I've ever played with by far.
