'Babolat players rackets'

So for 2014 Babolat now have 2 x 'Traditional Players' rackets.

Pure Strike Tour and Pure Control 95 (replacing the Pure Storm Ltd).

Pure Strike TOUR (18x20)
-98 head
-unstrung weight: 320 g / 11.3 oz
-balance: 9 pts HL
-flex: 70 RA
-beam: 21-23-21
55-62 lbs

Pure Control 95
-95 head
-unstrung weight: 320 g / 11.3 oz
-balance: 9 pts HL
-flex: 67 RA
-beam: 19 mm
55-62 lbs

Pure Storm Ltd
-95 Head
-UnStrung Weight: 320g / 11.3 oz
-Balance: 9 pts Head Light
-Flex: 67 RA
-Beam: 19mm
-18 Mains / 20 Crosses
-52-62 pounds

As you can see there is little difference with the specifications of these three rackets.
I've been using the Pure Storm Ltd for 2 years and love it. I string it at 55lbs with Xcel.
I've been using the Pure control 95 for two weeks now and have strung it the same as the PS Ltd with Xcel at 55lbs.

Verdict: Very little difference. Both stunning rackets! If you wanted them to be identical you would string the PC 95, 2 to 3lbs tighter and there really would be no difference at all (I see Tennis Warehouse have now completely sold out of the Pure Storm Ltd).

The Pure Storm Tour has the feel of a traditional racket but with added power and actually with very little loss of control. Sounds too good to be true?! Well I would say the only negative thing about it compared to the PS Ltd or PC 95 is the feeling of having a wider racket in your hand, those of you that use thin beam rackets will know what I mean.....

So therefore I'm 33/33/33 on which one of the 3 rackets I will coach and play with?!

Once strung and gripped the RA level of all these frames drops tredemously. Strike is in the mid 60's at best, Control is in the low 60's or high 50's. The strung specs are on TW's Blog. I wouldn't call the Strike a "player's racquet". That's the role of the Control/Storm line. Strike is for hard hitters needing precision, which isn't quite the same.

I suggest that you demo the Pure Storm Ltd. since you'll be able to get it at a lower price than the two others (not at TW of course, but they're not the only shop out there). Beware: the patter is extremely tight, and it hasn't a load of power. Maybe one of the tightest patterns I've ever seen. Thinner gauge, be it 17, 18 or even 19, lower tension and more powerful string is a good idea.
Very flexible hoop, very good feel and precision, very interesting racquet. Just not for me because of the very tight pattern and low spin potential. Not a good deal of tolerance though. If you need something more tolerant, demo the Strike instead.

Have you used all three rackets?
