Babolat Pure Aero VS

Hi I was looking into pure aero Vs which was released in 2020, do you believe they will replace that next year since Babolat updates racquets every 3 years? Do you expect the Rafa racquet alos to continue?
I ask because I want to consider one now and if I like it maybe get a 2nd next year but concerned they may discontinue current one.

This issue has absolutely been addressed in other threads, but likely the update to the Aero VS will come later next year, no earlier than spring.

All I can say is that the new pure aero vs has very minimal change coming cosmetically, but even uglier. (Babolat using the same racket designer since 20 years ago it seems....). If you like the Rafa edition of the regular PA, you might want to get it, as it's the same ugly as the Pavs. Some might find the regular aero an improvement if you hate the yellow.

I have been using an old Pure Aero from late 2000's but its the plus version and needed new racquets, couldnt decide between VS and Pure Aero Rafa, their both 27 inch, so losing the half inch but which racquet would be most similar? I figured the Rafa cuz the same head size and same string pattern, is that correct?

There's a pure aero plus... It's just yellow. This gen pure aero is very good but I would demo as the PAVS and pure aero are not alike.

Pure Aero and Pure Aero Rafa are the same though, just different colors. Tired of the banana yellow so thats why leaned towards the Rafa over VS. Just not sure how much VS differs from pure Aero Rafa, from what I read more control based on the head size and string pattern? I have requested demo for both racquets but any input from those who know would be great so when I demo I know what to notice.

Thanks

The PAVS is slightly denser in the middle compared to the PA/Rafa despite both having the FSI tech. The PA/Rafa will give you more easy power with the thicker beam at 23-26-23 compared to the PAVS at 21-23-22. If you are used to the AS from 2008/2010, I would lean towards to the PAVS cause it has similar characteristics as the AS, (98sq”, 16x20 pattern) but gives you a little more power due to the beam construction. Hope this helps!

Thanks, but I had the AeroPro Drive from 2008, which is 100 in head size, so I figured the PA/Rafa would be more of the same since head size is similar. Obviously in 14 years the frames and the technology has changed but if I am already choosing to go half an inch less on the handle, I dont want to lose the head size as well. Aero pro was also 16X19 and 100 inch similar to PA/Rafa. Wouldnt VS be more of a change? I tend to play heavier spin and primarily play baseline but I do tend to rush nets when given the opportunity.

It sounds like you answered your own question. Not sure what you want someone else to say to refute the numbers you mentioned.
