Babolat Pure Control Swirly 2001 - I have questions

I was able to get my hands on two 2001 “Swirly” Babolat Pure Controls locally for a great deal. I played the Pure Storm Tour in college and have always loved the Control/Storm family.

I have a few questions though -

1. Both frames could use new grommets. I’ve seen some suggestion that the 2014 Pure Control grommets will fit - can anyone confirm that?

2. I’ve started stringing my own racquets, and because I frequently use a hybrid I string almost exclusively two piece. Am I right that there is no official two piece pattern for this frame?

All help is appreciated. Also very open to suggestions for string setups. Starting with a full bed of 55# Sheep Micro in one and a full bed of 50# Super Smash in the other.

Yes the grommets should work and I've strung it two piece no problem, though I think you're correct about there not being an official two piece pattern

I had the swirly PC back when it was current. I believe I was stringing it with TNT Pro Plus 17.

Man that thing served bombs. I was much younger then, the stiffness didn't bother me. Think the Kevlar made it feel less stiff (72RA?). Felt better, and a better fit for my game than the swirly Pure Drive
