Babolat Pure Control Team Experts Help

I just picked up a Babolat Pure Control Team with specs as stated on frame are:

98 sq in (630)
66 flex
320g, 11.3oz unstrung
16X20
stnd length (27")

Is this the same frame as the Pure Control Team MP that is 100 sq...?

I cannot decipher on the racquetfinder or the other spec checker that these are the same or different frames since they list only one Pure Control Team.

Can someone clarify this...?

No it's not, the 100 sq. is 310 grams unstrung.

The pure control has quite a few versions, the first edition was 330 gr. unstrung,
Second generation 330 gr.
then 320 gr. and a 310 grams. (100 sq.)

There was also a pure control zylon, a lighter pure control version.

do you have complete specs of the 100 sq in version? Any experience with either or both, are they similar playing?

Yes, i played them all, a little similar yea but still prefer the heavier one(s)
the lighter one has less feel and is a little less stable but very easy to play and swing, you need to put more topspin in your shots with the lighter one.

specs:

Weight: 310gr
Balance: 315mm
RA: 64
Headsize: 645cm² - 100 sq.
Beam width: 21.5 mm
Construction: Graphite/kevlar
SW: 318
Tension: 23-25kg
16 Mains, 20 Crosses

The easiest way to tell the 100 apart from the 98 is the top of the head with the 98 is red, and the top of the head with the 100 is black. You will sometimes hear the 100 referred to as the "Black Pure Control."

thanks for the reply's. Seems like they got progressively lighter and more flexy through the years.

I had a pair of the heavier, stiffer ones a few years back and they were solid albiet just a tad stiff for me. (or at least at the time)

Picked this one up on closeout at ****smith and thought I would give it a try.
