Babolat Pure Drive Team vs MG Radical MP

RyKnocks

Semi-Pro
Hey All,

I have a chance to purchase a Babolat Pure Drive Team locally for $80. I have a Head MG Radical MP on the way and was wondering how these two would compare. I'm a beginner, so should I stick with the MG Radical or get the Pure Drive Team since it's seemingly cheap. I couldn't find much info on the Pure Drive Team, but from forum posts it looks like many people prefer the old Pure Drive Team over the newer Cortex Pure Drives for their "RAW" feel.

Can anyone here help me make an informed decision?

Thanks guys :)

As a beginner, it really won't matter which racket you get. Your game and preferences will eventually dictate your preferred racket down the road.

MG Radical MP is a wonderful all-around stick, though low-powered, and may be the last racket you need for the rest of your tennis days--you don't even need to rip out the el cheapo string for a while.

Averages from TW Racquetfinder:

Pure Drive Team Plus
100 si,27.5 in,11.2 oz,6pts HL,SW 335,RA70,16x19,skip 8T-8H,50-66#

Pure Drive Team
100 si,27.0 in,11.2 oz,5pts HL,SW 323,RA70,16x19,skip 8T-8H,50-66#

There's the Team and the Team Plus. Both are included. The main difference will be the stiffness, swingweight and string density. I think you will get more power from the PD Team. You should consider that if you need a 2nd racquet, the Bab PD Team is going to cost you more.

Is pure drive team new for 80? If so jump on it truly a modern classic, and last racket you will need since it works from beeginner level to ATP pro. Mg radical is not for beginners no matter what head said.
