Babolat Pure Drives

All right guys. I am about to demo some racquets and I was wondering which Babolat Pure Drives I should try?

There just seems to be too many choices to choose from. There is a Babolat Pure Drive Standard, Roddick, Team and many others, as well as the plus-sized (1/2 inch) longer versions.

I would say I am around a 3.0 player with a liking to stay at the baseline, hit with moderate top and pace, and a 1 handed slice bh. Any suggestions to what I should try?

Initially I thought that I should give the Babolat Pure Drive Roddick and Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus versions a demo, just to see if the added length can help me. Since TW allows you to demo 4 racquets, I was thinking I would try out the K90 and Prince O3 as well due to all their hype.

What do you guys think?

I think you need to scroll down the racquets section until you come to 'This is the Babolat Alliance calling!' Ask your questions there and you should find ample responses.

Definitely try Pure Storm and Pure Drive Team Standard, especially Pure Storm. I loved this racquet so match after demoing it so I bought it.

I think you need to not demo rackets based on "hype".

As a 3.0, you most likely won't gain any benefit from any of the hyped rackets, they will probably only serve as distractions.

The Pure Drive Roddick plays the same as the standard Pure Drive Team with just a slight increase in power and stiffness as well as .5 ounces of added weight. Don't mess with the Pure Drives without the Cortex system if you can help it. What would you like the added length to help you with? Why do the Pure Drives interest you?

What are you using right now? Why are you looking to switch? I really don't think switching rackets just for the sake of swithching is a good idea, it rarely helps you improve faster.

I realize some people disagree with me on this, but I think demoing the K90 is a huge waste of time. I don't think there is a 3.0 on the planet that will benefit from using that frame. I am not sure if there are too many 4.0's that are getting much out of it either.

If in fact you really do need a new racket, the 03 White may be the better choice of the 3. I am a Pure Storm fan as well, but it all depends on what you need to suit your own game.

Sorry psycho to gatecrash this with my own specific question but following the above I couldn't help it...

Bottle Rocket, I'm not sure if this is even answerable but anyhow...Exactly as you've refered to, I've recently leaded up my pd plus to the approx weight of the pdr. My question is where you think I should place the lead tape if trying to replicate feel of a pdr. I know ppl will say just buy a pdr, but for a few diff reasons I wanted to try this out. Thanks...

Forgot to ask 'where you think I should place the lead tape and HOW MUCH OF IT'...
