Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 vs. Head Graphene Touch Speed Pro

Hi friends,
My current racket of choice is the Head Graphene Touch Speed Pro with Solinco's Hyper G. I am thinking about buying a Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 and wonder how these two rackets compare to each other. Did anyone of you play with both rackets and could give me some information how it was?

Thanks,
Fab

I've hit quite a lot with the GTSP and a couple of hours with PS17. The Head frame is more solid, less power, more control and with a muted feel. The Babolat stick is more in the direction of a Pure Drive with power and spin more easily accessible. The ones that I hit were under spec in terms of weight and were also more headlight giving them a somewhat unstable feel. They feel quite good but are not as solid as the GTSP. The launch angle is much higher what the dense pattern of the GTSP gives. If you like the GSTP I think you should stick to that but if you're looking for an easier playing stick with more inherent power and spin, give the PS17 a shot.

I want to try the speed touch pro (STP) just bc I've always thought it'd be neat to have a speed pro that doesn't destroy my arm. the MP speed always seems to jive better with my imperfect RHS, however.

I played a lot with the pro as well as the MP. I definitely prefer the Pro over the MP. The MP was too light for me and I was not able to place the balls in a way that I am able with the Pro. Also, for me the MP did feel a little bit unstable, especially if you do not hit the sweet spot perfectly. The Pro racket is a control-monster and that's what I like :P

i always struggle with the MP being a little too light ... then i go back to the pro, its uncomfortable, go back to the MP (that open pattern helps w comfort). long story short, this is why i'd like to give the touch pro a try

I'm currently playing with both and can switch between the two fairly seamlessly. I do have a leather grip on the P17 with a 2 grams of lead at the top of the handle. So keep that in mind.

The GSP is more maneuverable, serves better, hits with more spin, and has a little less power. The P17 is less maneuverable, stiffer in feel, less vibrations, hits better flat, hits with a little more depth (with the same effort), and is easier to play with on defense. If you like the GSP, I'd suggest just sticking with it. The P17 really isn't much different.

The Speed Pro Touch is lower powered than the Speed Pro because it is softer and has a lower SW. As for the Pure Strike vs GSP, I found the GSP to have more power than the Pure Strike. Usually with 16x19 frames, they offer more spin and power but less control but I found the Pure Strike has less power strung at 52lbs and had to lower the tension to 44lbs to get it to play with more oomph.

I'm interested in anyone who has had a hit with the adaptive version of the speed pro with its 57 RA. That's got to be more comfortable than the strike and it's good to hear Head offering this option.

For me ps17 was a better racquet. More spin better feel easier to serve.

Touch pro had zero feel. I had absolutely no feedback where I hit the ball.

Both strung with poly.

Shockingly touch have me elbow issues and ps17 did not

The GTSP is still a graphene racquet, so it is still arm toxic regardless of flex ratings (which these ratings are useless when it comes to these racquets). I'm amazed at people's response to the PS. Ha Olay must've made major changes from the Project 17.
