Babolat Pure Strike 2019

When will Babolat release a new Pure Strike?

I see that some shops have already discounted prices on the Pure Strike Line.

Is there any confirmed ( or educated guess ) news on this? I am looking for a new racket ( rather soon ), but I'd hate to buy a Pure Strike and it to be outdated after a few months. I don't care that much to be the guy with the newest fream, but my current racket lasted me 6 years, so if I buy an 'outdated' frame now, how will it be in 6 years.

Prices atm in Belgium go as low as 130 euro for the Pure Strike. Has the price always been this low? Or does this price suggest a updated version coming soon?

( To give a propper understanding of the prices in Belgium, I just tested the new Head 360 Speed that came out this week, and those go for 240 euro. Wilson Pro Staff goes over 200 aswell.. Big difference imo )

The one good thing about new models every 2/3 years is constantly discounted racquets!

The Pure Strike has a 2016 and 2017 version, am I right? Does this mean if you buy a frame now, that it might have left the factory somewhere in 2017, depending on the sotre's stock and how much they sell?

Black one was 2014, white one 2016 if i remember rightly. Its cheaper in Europe now it seems, still full price here on TW and TO in australia

Given that the Aero is being refreshed this month and the Drive was last year then that makes the Strike this time next year.

Babolat is on a three year cycle.

that white 2016 version of pure strike was one of the best rackets produced by Babolat. I am not sure how they are going to improve on that one.

Heard that 2017 pure drive having a smoother feel.

Wonder what would it be like if that new cortex is applied into Strike.

I don't think you should be worried about an "outdated" frame, every new iteration may have different features and an updated paint job but it is not inherently better, it's just another racquet and if you find a racquet at a good price and suits your game I say buy it and enjoy it.

There's many people that buys frames that have years out of the market, the continuous launch of "new" technologies is just a marketing tool, new racquet doesn't mean better raquet.

I think they quickly updated the PS in 2016 because the black 2014 PS was terrible. Such a shame because it was such a beautiful racquet to look at

Any news? If I'm not wrong, the current pure strike got released before MC 2016 (at least Thiem started to play with that PJ in Monte-Carlo, don't remember when it got released for the public in general)

Babolat operates on a three year cycle ....

APD 2010 2013 2016 (PA) 2019 (PA)
PD 2012 2015 2018.
PS 2014 2017 2020.

So next PS should be 2020 model. There are already some early PJ pics on other threads here and on the web.

It got released to the public in 2017, but Thiem started to use the current Pure Strike paintjob in april 2016, that's why I think that in some months he and the other players using the PS paintjob are going to start using the 2020 paintjob.

Didn't see the thread until now, looks good.

Agree it will be hard to improve on the current PS. Maybe take away some power, give it a tad more spin . I also here ppl complain about how it’s hard on the arm but after using it as my main stick ( 16X19 ) 5 -6 days a week and haven’t felt anything.

I've been playing with the PS17 for three months now and I haven't feel any discomfort, I've even seen improvement with my WUT inherited TE.

Question (maybe I have missed it) - has there been a release for the Gen 3 Wimbledon edition?

I loved the Gen 1 edition and not so much for the Gen 2 (design wise). Just wondering about Gen 3, especially Wimby was cancelled this year.
