Babolat Pure Strike Stress Cracks In Throat

Probably too late to do anything about now since I've owned the rackets for over 2.5 years but...purchased 2 Pure Strikes 16x19 from *******
about 2.5 years ago. After 1.5 years noticed BOTH rackets started developing stress cracks on each side inside the throat. Called ******* and of
course they said 1 year warranty on the frame. Anyone else out there have this issue? Makes me want to switch frames but I own 2 others and
just bought a 3rd gen.:(

Yep, happened to two of my Pure Strike frames within a year (these were the project one 16x19 frames). I was lucky in that they were covered under warranty. The stress fractures were very minute. You could easily overlook them unless you made a point to inspect the frame(s).

Had this happen to all 3 of mine (PO7 16x19) but occurred at the 1.5 year mark so no warranty coverage. Have switched to the Head Gravity Tour.

I have owned Pure Drive Roddicks (2012 version), older Pure Controls, and Pure Drive Roddicks GT+ and have not experienced any cracking in those frames. I also have used several different Head frames (Radicals, Prestiges, Speeds, etc.) and some Wilsons over the years and have had no cracking issues. I do not abuse my frames.

Stress cracks? as in cracks in frame or cracks in paint? Prince frames had this cracked frame issue for a while. Have not seen any new threads about this issue re Prince recently.

Not much you can do anymore since they are out of warranty. You could contact @Babolat Official and ask.

Do babolat rackets have the tendency to crack and break earlier than other companies?
I don't think so. The pure strike beam is fairly thin at approximately 21.3 mm at the throat, versus the Pure Aero and Pure Drive frames, which are thicker. Thin beam, stiff frame, high power = frame stress

I think that their material is not so dense as in other companies. But, maybe this is just my impression...

The PO7 demo I used last year had these cracks. The frame has a thin beam and almost feels like it’s made out of a ceramic material. I know it’s not, but it feels and sounds different to other frames on impact.
