do players that use the RPM Blast like Nadal Roddick and Tsonga use a full string bed of the stuff or a hybrid? If so, could you tell me what else they use in contour to the RPM Blast?

From appearance, it looks as if Nadal and Tsonga use a full bed, but I honestly don't know. I used a full bed for a match yesterday and it felt amazing, I know that.

Nadal and Roddick don't use RPM blast. Nadal uses Black PHT and Roddick is back to his old string, after a brief test.

That is mere speculation that Nadal hated PHT, it is more likely he just did not want to change strings at that time. In 2008 he was winning half the tournaments he entered, no reason to change a thing.fedace said:

Why would Nadal have different writing on his string and different label if he is using RPM blast now, it has been 5 months and the string has been released.

Because that is an early batch of the RPM Blast. RPM was supposed to be the Hurricane Tour in black, but once Babolat put in the black dye, it became a different being.

Huh? why would they print pro hurricane tour on a completely different string in mass.
Pro Hurricane Tour black came out months ahead of RPM blast, didn't it?

haven't tried it yet. I have not been playing for last 3 weeks due to down time in tennis leagues. but i am looking at the packaging and Power dot has 1/2 more dot than the Pro hurr tour package. That must mean it is more powerful than the PHT.

YES, i must know... i do know. You don't know cause you haven't read the article couple of years ago when Nadal was experimenting with strings as well.

What is this PHT Black? I've seen on TW there is a Hurricane Feel that is blue....

PHT Black was available in Europe a couple months ago.
It came out, then they phased it out.

Is sort of defeats the purpose having an edged spin string in the crosses, since the mains contribute to 90% of the spin in the string bed :shock:

For marketing reasons. The same reason Nadal's duralast had "pro hurricane tour" printed on it for years. It's odd, but that's how it works.
Well, texture does not do too much for spin anyway. If anything, it will break faster. However, I do get more spin compared to my previous setting of Lux ALU crosses because it is a slightly stiffer string.Do you only have RPM Blast in the crosses

Yes, I understand why they would do it with Duralast(it was not the string they wanted to market), but the same reason does not make sense with RPM blast they want people to think he is using it,marking the string as PHT is counter productive to their marketing strategy,NO?
