babolat sfx3

And again I have to reiterate what I said about the insoles. That diagonal line under the arch ... I never seen any shoes with that before. It literally gives you so much stopping power in it's perpendicular direction. Maybe it's just me (and no big deal for others) but I can't understate the effect of that.

I prefer the Prince T22 lites in black and green. They had perfect lateral support and wide enough. One of the worst things in sports is to discontinue a shoe that works best for you.
My babolat SFX3's are wide but the lateral support is looser and foot cushioning is not as good as the prince's. I can't stand the Black/White/red color. It makes mee feel like I'm wearing Jordans.

Wore on court for first time this morning. A little over 2 hours, high intensity singles hitting for 1.5 hours followed by lower intensity doubles set. Overall - I was pleased as I barely noticed the shoes which is my preference. Comfort was good, I did not feel any pressure points particularly on the spots on my big toes that often get bothered. My feet did not move in the shoe - hopefully this continues. I used a runners loop on the extra eyeholes to keep my heel locked. I am still concerned that there is not enough support/stability - but for today it was sufficient and I am pleased.

My left ankle is a little tender but I am hoping it had more to do with an incident where I tripped on the side netting rather than an issue from the shoe

Another spin on the courts, 2 sets of mixed dubs with women who both played in college followed by singles hitting. Same as yesterday. I did not notice the shoes at all, which to me is perfect. Comfortable, no squeeze or pressure areas, and feet did not move in shoe. So far I am pleased. They feel closest in style to the Diadora Blueshield Fly 3 for shoes I have worn but these fit me much better than the Fly did.

Now will see if they are stable enough in the long term and how the durability is. So far very pleased for an 89 dollar shoe

You also went down 0.5 from your normal size like you did with the blushields right? I remember these running quite large

I stayed at my normal 10.5 with these. They are slightly long but I did not see the need to go down. I actually tried these on in store before buying so was confident with my normal 10.5.

What do you think of the diagonal line running across the middle of the insole? Did you also feel it was prominent like I did? Wasn't sure if I liked it or not.

I have not really noticed it. The insoles themselves are much more substantial than the ortholites the other brands use

These are now my current shoes and I've taken these shoes out 4x now: 1 singles (I try), 1 doubles match, and 2x casual hitting for 1-2 hours with my children.

I went down a ½ size to accommodate my orthotics when removing the original insole.

I must say that these shoes are very light for tennis movement. However, without the original insoles, I feel like the ride is a bit too low for my taste. Feels like how I remember my Vapor X wides with my orthotics. It's a bit harsh at first but then takes some getting used to. I like to compare it to driving with low-profile tires. I do wear my laces pretty tight and did not feel any slippage. I already have evidence of right toe drag from serving.

I will say that my Torneos are way more comfortable.

the sfx3 is lightweight and very comfortable too. the insole is very good quality.
i went for UK9 and the front area is very generous, although it looked like the same size externally against the GT Turbo of the same size, the sfx3 has more room internally.
maybe i should have gone down 1/2 size, to use the same socks. it is okay if i use thicker socks though. so all good.
it is a good alternative if i feel "light" and want something lower to the ground. LOL

Got them for 40 euros so there is my review. They are the longest and widest tennis shoe I've ever owned. The uppers are super soft and the toe box is plenty high and wide. The insole is one of the best in a tennis shoe and it is quite thick and plush.I installed my thick orthotics in it and walked around the house and outside.Haven't playtested them yet so I'll get back to that. For a senior looking a plush shoe with a lot of space inside they are great. For someone wanting to slide or play aggressive tennis not so much. The uppers are too soft which is great for the comfort but not so much for locking down your foot.Runners knot is must for these if you want to lock your foot and achilles tendon. You can see here pictures alongside my Asics Nimbus 23,Rush Pro 4 and SCB all US 13

These shoes popped up on a TW daily deal for $15 so I bought 4 pairs. The catch is they are women's shoes in light blue with plum soles. I have bought women's shoes before by going 1.5 sizes up and sometimes they are a little narrow. These fit very well and the best fitting women's shoe I have ever worn.

You mean from before? Or did it happen again? That is crazy by the way

I found my Powerstep insoles, which were my very first insoles, and put them in my SFX3. I wore them out to run errands yesterday. They added pretty good response and cushioning.

I switched to SFX3 from Prince T-22 lites (after Prince discontinued the green/black color, such a dam good shoe). I just dislike the red/white and black color.
in comparison, the SFX3 always feel flat like I'm wearing sandals with a low sole. I have to wear two socks or thorlos to make it work.
So this past week, I played a long match and wore 1 pair of socks. Now I have a foot blister for maybe the second time in my life.
In addition, the heel area does become loose during a match with heel slippage when moving laterally.
Is there a ticker insole you'd recommend like Prince T-22 lites on the SFX3 than the stock version?
