Babolat spiraltek and other synthetic guts

I'm thinking about trying this string, anyone here played with it? I'm also tempted to try Prince syn gut with duraflex. Anyone that can make a comparison?

I used to play syn gut all the time until my stringer stopped selling it. On his recommendation I started using polys. This was maybe 5 years ago. Have now tried playing with both a full bed and a hybrid setup for a while (savage/sensation at 25 kg in a pure drive). It's ok but recently I borrowed my brothers racquet that has syn gut in it (don't know which one) and I missed how it felt. So I'm thinking about trying some out.

I won't know until the tennis season starts again in April, but I have the old Volkl Syn Gut 16 in my signature racquet. The string has aramid fiber in it, is very soft for a syn gut, and it feels too dead in this racquet. The frame is also deadish. So I'm looking for a syn gut that feels medium to crisp.

The one I'm considering most is Gosen OGSM Super 16L. I'd be really interested in hearing about Spiraltek or any others as well.

Prince Original is a great go to syn gut. Was my setup for a long time until I discovered gut/poly. I could easily go back to it and enjoy it I just like gut/poly more.

Thanks KaiserW! Read your review on the product-page, great with the update on durability. Would you say that 6 hours is short, as expected or long durability? And are you a string breaker? :)

spiraltk is the old Babolat NVY. So according to many the best snygut cross, however quite expensive.

I just hit with SpiralTek in one of my PK Ki5 PSE for the first time yesterday. First impression is that this is a very nice sun gut. Feels softer than OG Sheep Micro with maybe a bit more power as well. Spin generation was probably the best out of my 3 latest Syn Guts (OG Sheep Micro and Volkyl V Wrap). of the three, I would rank SpiralTek>OG Sheep Micro>Volkyl V Wrap...although it is a bit early after one hit.

I was hoping to find an SG that stayed in place like poly, but so far have been mildly disappointed. V Wrap seems to move the most and OG Sheep Micro appears to move the least. The Jury is still out on the SpiralTek.

All 3 are strung at 62lbs, 17 gauge, and in identical PSE's. SpiralTek in yellow, VWrap in Orange, Sheep Micro in natural. V Wrap is the most expensive, and while I will restring one PSE in it, once my last two packs get used the test on V Wrap is probably over. OG SheepMicro is the cheapest, probably the best bang for the buck string ever sold. I would have no issues recommending this string. SpiralTek is only 75 cents more per pack than OG Sheep Micro, and so far I am really liking the feel and performance I am getting out of it. If the honeymoon does not end, I will probably end up switching to SpialTek in all four of my PSE's.

I had spiraltek strung into a new racquet I purchased (not by choice) lasted approx 2 hrs before strings broke.
