Babolat Star 3 tension head not moving. Need assistance

Hi folks,

I recently bought a used Babolat RDC and Babolat Star 3 machine. I noticed that the Star 3 Machine tension head does not move when I press the black button which activates the tension head.
I recalled JC from tennis machines and recommends to adjust the master links on the chain to get the tensioner back to the starting position. I think the cause of my problem is that the tensioner is touching a switch on the motherboard, resulting in the tension head not moving back to the starting picture.

Can someone verify where the master link is located? What tools are needed to remove the master link?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Before you remove the chain, I suggest you slide the spring loaded megatron tapped resistor back and forth to see if that loosens up any built up debris then press pull button.

The megatron is a green precision laser trimmed potentiometer as seen in second photo showing the pull chain.

Just something to try. Good Luck,

Albert

Hi Albert,

Thanks for your help. I sent my board to Tennis machines and they detected a bad Micro switch by the capacitor. The new switch solved the issue temporarily until the tension head stopped moving again. I noticed some build up on the megatron and use your solution stated above. Now it’s working once more.

Where can I buy a spare megatron?
