Babolat Star 5 firmware

Hi,

I recently purchased a used Babolat Star 5. Woot! Machine is in working condition. I still need to run through the calibration process. My question for other Star 5 owners is about the version of firmware. The machine shows version 1.0.1t. Can anyone comment on the latest firmware and how they have or have not updated their firmware? I contacted Babolat via phone and email but have not received a response - so I thought I would go to the next best source of info!

Two racquest strung so far, and I LOVE the machine.

Thanks!

Congratulations on your Star5 it's a fantastic machine. @abllee2198 or Tennis Machine may be able to answer your questions but not sure it will help. I doubt you can't replace Babolat's firmware or reprogram it. If 'it' could be reprogrammed it would be called software.

My machine shows version 02.02.a Not sure how to update the firmware, but it's never been changed since I bought my machine in 2012. This version may refer to something other than a firmware; may be a region thing.

Regards

Paul

I would definitely get up with TennisMachines. They can tell you if the firmware needs an update (latest greatest) and who can do it.

Go to the thread hosted by @Babolat Official and ask the question there or email him directly. I thought there was a USB port on the machine, but I'm probably wrong.

edit: Googleing for 'update babolat star 5 firmware' came back with nothing; so maybe UKS is correct.

Moppet I'm interested in what information you were able to locate as I have the same operating software model in my Star 5.

Hi 1Maz51. Babolat basically told me that there are two versions of the Star 5 tension head and that the software I have for my machine is actually the most current. If you were to contact Babolat and tell them the serial number of your machine they will be able to tell you what version you should expect to be installed on the tension head.

Hope that helps (and is relatively accurate, as it has been a month since I got the information)

Cheers,

The serial number on the machine and the serial number on the tension module could very well be different. I bought a refurbished tension module from Babolat and the serial numbers no longer match. I think you're going to find out the only way to get the firmware upgraded is to buy a tension module, or send the tension module back to Babolat. The costs associated with sending your tension module back to Babolat (both ways) for new firmware when you don't even know what the new firmware will do for you would not be worth it IMHO.
