Babolat Storm users: which one did you like the most?

I know I could do some searches and if anyone can link any good threads; I'd be down to read those.

Anyways, I am about done with anything Pure Drive. I've never had ANY luck with them. Just too much everything and they cause me arm problems no matter what I do tension and string wise. Gone through swirly, team and now GT.

I look back though and remember I actually did well with the Pure Control and Zylon 360. So I'm asking all you storm users which one is the best one: LTD, Tour or std. I'm thinking Flouro or M2 at 57lbs.

The original Pure Storm, which had the same specs as the Zylon 360, in the racket category that it falls into, is unmatched in my opinion. Better than everything else that you'd compare it to. I bought one of these new just after they came out. I chose it over the Pure Drive.

The current Pure Storm, however, isn't the same... I think Babolat sort of ruined a great thing here. I think the frame got too flexy. However, if you're looking for a frame in this weight class, it is still one of the better frames out there.

The Pure Control (just after the swirly version) is one of my favorite frames that I've used. I switched to these after a year or so with the Pure Storm. It is crisp, has good weight, awesome spin and power, and really plays well. However, I think Babolat also screwed things up with the Pure Storm Tour.

I was loyal to Babolat and had a few Pure Control's when the new Pure Storm Tour came out. I bought one new and was supremely dissapointed. Too soft and mushy feeling. All of the attributes that made the PC great were gone. This is when I switched frames completely - no more Babolat for me.

Between my stints with the Pure Control's and Pure Storms, I also fell in love with the Pure Drive Roddick. I still think this is really great frame - a frame everyone needs to try and some point in their tennis career. But, sicne you want nothing to do with the Pure Drive, I'll leave it at that.

In my current search for a softer frame, as I tore my arm apart over the years with my Wilson's, I did hit with a Pure Storm LTD. It had some crap synthetic gut, so that may have been part of it, but I wasn't thrilled with it. One of the most underpowered frames I have ever hit with. I don't agree with those who talk about its "classic" feel. It feels like a Babolat. To me, that means you feel nothing but the strings - a feel of isolation.

In your situation, it makes sense to try the Pure Storm Tour. This is the next closest thing in the Babolat line to your Pure Drive and it is a comfortable and arm-friendly frame.

Pure Storm Limited is the best Babolat frame I've tried. I like low powered control frames though. I don't know if it's as low powered as some make it out to be, but it's definitely a control frame.

I used to play with the Pure Drive Roddick as well, and I am having no trouble generating the same kind of pace that I did with that frame. I also played with the Pure Storm for a while and liked it as well. It's a very nice mid weight frame.

Babolat Pure Storm LTD works for me. Light enough to not mess with my shoulder, but solid enough to use against big hitters. Love it.

Well thank you guys for the help/responses. I went with the PST. I'll give it a shot this weekend and then in a 3-month class here in San Francisco...
