Yes, I really went there! My wife and I are expecting our 1st child in June, baby girl. Don't worry, I've stockpiled guns and ammo already!

Anyways, we are looking for a good stroller/travel system. There are so many damn ones out there. Are the jogging strollers a lot better than the regular 4 wheelers? Obviously we cannot jog with her right away, but I can imagine they are a much smoother ride overall. The cost on those however are a bit higher, especially with having to buy a seat and base separate.

Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

My wife and I have a BOB Revolution SE stroller and Britax/BOB B-Safe car seat. A pricey combination but we bought them at REI in sale and with a coupon. Plus we plan on having 3-4 children so we'll get out money's worth given the quality and durability associated with BOB products.

Even if you forego a BOB, I'd advise a three wheel jogging-type stroller. Far more maneuverable and you'll be glad for that when navigating aisles in stores.

Agree 100%. The BOB is worth the price. I really like the Peg Prego infant car seat/carrier system but their strollers, though light and packable are not durable. We have 3 kids under 5 and have tried numerous car seats and nothing beats Britax quality and ease of use, IMHO.

I will say this, the only criteria worth a darn are: weight (of the stroller) and price. The kid will never know about any other feature but you will have to lift and carry the thing (and pay for it).

Get a BOB double stroller if you are planning to have more and relatively close to one another. It is a must when you are taking your kids to amusement parks.

congrads! here's wishing many fun and rewarding years ahead!

whichever u consider getting, consider getting one that's used. u save a bunch of money and with baby products its usually well taken care of. u just may need to deep clean it.

when we had our first, we insisted on getting everything new. now thinking back, we should of chose more luxurious brand used.

kids are like money pits. there's never enough money.
