Osaka looked like she’s been on the couch eating Cheetos for the last 3 months. She lost the match and played terrible. Alcaraz is a beast ripping 90-100 mph winners at will.

For me Leylah's win was bigger, because of Osaka's stature and because I'm Canadian. :)

Osaka as a former champion was more of a contender than one time slam finalist Stefanos. On the other hand, men’s tennis has a much bigger shortage of teenage contenders, I believe.

I think who was upset was bigger news on the women’s side, but who pulled off the upset and how the upset happened was bigger on the men’s side.

she did look a little heavy again, but tough to say with the dress...not being fit was the only reason she didn't break out sooner on tour

exactly this. I felt bad for her during the Serena incident but since then I can't say I'm a fan of hers. And I don't recall ever seeing a player hitting the ball consistently as hard as Alcaraz was hitting today. Seemed like he was going for broke on every shot...and he somehow managed to get them in when it counted. He was in a serious mind/body zone.

Osaka won 4 of the last 8 HC slams; Tsisipas has won nothing!

But Osaka might've self-destructed more thoroughly than even Tsisipas yesterday.

Full crowds, fast courts, under the lights. The USO is bringing us the good tennis!
