backhand

so i switched from a 1hbh to a 2hbh and it seems like whenever i do a 2hbh its like a golf swing.. the ball gets alot of topspin and dive down into the court and accelerates after it bounces. any advice on how to hit a flatter backhand? and would it be best to have an open stance or close stance for a bh?

All I have to say is don't go trying to find a flat backhand. Really there is almost no need in today's game. You're not going to be very pacy with it anyway and hitting spin gives you a margin of error. I realize that you want to have a flat backhand but seriously, it would be one of the last components of my game that I would want to work on.

But, you simply come through the ball more instead of up the back of the ball. the best way is to think about following through towards the target more.

I would relax the wrist of the dominant hand and try to crank it a bit with the non dominant hand, like Kafelnivkov...a closed stance. There is a need for topspin, flat and slice shots to be an advanced player.
