LOL, no heart attacks in two matches in a row!

my sister is not even a fan and she was hyperventilating every time fed missed. I was like girl you have got to calm down. I wonder what she would have done if she was a fan and this was a slam and he was like two sets down. She would have died.

Good that Federer locked up the number 2 seed for the US but MAN...another crappy match. Second set was good from Federer but the first set was horrible, even though he snuck it out. So many errors off the ground, I really don't see where people are getting the "he's playing great" idea from. First time he runs into a player playing well he's finished, again. Just like Toronto, and just like the entire year outside of the Aussie (where he was majorly let off the hook twice).

Anyway, good result, but now I don't care who wins. This has been the worst quality masters of the year by leaps and bounds.

Also, he got passed like crazy at the net. Approaches are still lacking for the most part.

Aw man, Baghy your serve let you down but you had a great run. Hoping for a repeat performance at the US Open. And yet again, Fed is in the finals of the REAL slam. Will be cheering for him tomorrow.

Monte Carlo was thrilling I guess...:?

BTW can someone please call the waambulance?

Fed's performence:

+ He's finally hitting the inside out a bit more along with the inside in. He's been reading my posts :-)
+ Chip and charge worked like a charm when it mattered the most
+ Didn't face a single BP in the match. Monster 2nd serve.
+ BH slice is still a knife.
+ DTL BH worked well

- CC topspin BH still a bit shaky
- Misses easy ROSs.

Biggest factor I think is he doesnt look knackered.

During wimbly he looked like the kids had kept him up all night.

I hope Fed's not peaking too early, but if he plays like this at the USO, I don't see many players that can trouble him. :)

Actually, I don't think his play in this tournament is that great. It is better than his performance at Toronto. He's playing much better here. No doubt. But to say no player can trouble him with this play? I don't think so. He really needs to work on that backhand. It's too sporadically effective. But his serving is really on. Nice to see. And his forehand is clicking too.

He had some BH errors but overall played well and moved well and served well after the first 3 games. Didn't allow a BP either. Did Baggy even reach deuce on Fed's service games?

Monte Carlo just called. He wants to talk to you.

LOL. yeah, Fed should pay for our health after what he put us through in the last few years ;-)

Iceyyyyyyyyy :)

Good stuff from Fed...i wouldn't call the title his, fish is on fire these days though.

LOL at anyone getting heart attacks watching Federer. It's a picnic compared to watching guys like Ivanisevic, Safin and Nalbandian fight their inner demons.

Never so disappointed after a match in my life. What a disappointing display from Baghdatis. He never showed up. It was a pathetic serving display, less than 30% in the second set

darthfed! i missed you. Yeah no doubt about that. Fed is obviously the favorite, but I wouldn't say he has it in the bag.

oh yeah nice to see you too P_Agony:roll:

Why does a Nadal "fan" have to be a "****" exactly?

That's also because most Nadal fans don't troll non Nadal matches . What a stupid thing to say. Isn't the reason self evident? I was actually pulling for Federer to hold onto the number 2 seed, as I think Djokovic is a terrible number 2 (heck he might be even a poor 3 or 4 right now), but this tournament has been the piiiiiits quality wise. Just straight up ball bashing at its worst with no real good matches.

Anyway, don't listen to that guys baiting. He's just being dumb. It's weird to me though how Federer fans can be like "Oh he's playing so awesome!" We hear this every single match he wins. Then he runs into someone playing well and he goes out. It's like clock work. I'd be worried if I were a fan. His timing is just way off.

We will see what happens at the US Open. :)

You do realize Baghdatis beat Nadal, the number one player in the world, don't you?

Sure, but Bags served lights out last night and couldn't get buy a first serve today. He played far worse today. And Nadal played very poorly so...Nadal should have creamed him really. It was pretty bad for him to lose.

Playing three matches to win a masters is pretty bizarre. :-P Can you even win a 250 with that shallow a draw? But it's not his fault, I mean what else can he do?

But everytime Nadal loses is because he's injured or played badly? Hmm...

That's an outright lie. Most Fed fans knew he was lucky to get by Berdych and Djoker and he did not play well for most of the match.

May I ask why you think this?

Probably since it was. For once I concur with P_Agony. Monte Carlo totally sucked. I was excited to see Nadal in such great form but otherwise the event was a drag. No good matches at all from the quarters onward, not even one (not just the Nadal matches). And Clowndasco in a Masters final is always going to be a joke so the joke final was utterly predictable. Good to see him falling to where he belongs- out of the top 10.

So why even bring it up?

Likewise :D

As usual im sad because the new semester coincides with the start of the USO.

And im fully prepared for an upset tomorrow.

May I ask why you think this?

Look at the final for one. The entire tournament was a great perfomance by Nadal, so I guess you guys would like that. But outside of that there were a ton of non-competitive matches, most of the top seeds went out early. It was a horrid tourney w/o many memorable matches. This tourney already has had Nadal/Bag, Fish/Rod, Nadal/Benn, Rod/Sod, Murray/Gulbis, Murray/Fish to name a few, all of which were better matches than anything we saw in Monte Carlo.
