The more ballyhooed Roddick, Fish, Harrison, Sock, Blake, Querrey, Bogomolov, Young, Kudla, Ginepri, Sweeting, Isner have accomplished little for American tennis this year, only Isner has made a final (in Houston). Everyone else has been shut out, it's been a quiet year for US mens tennis so far. Though credit to Fish and Isner for playing very very well in Davis Cup. Brian Baker comes along out of nowhere and makes a final in his first ATP event in six years, surpassing all other Americans but Isner in 2012. What a magnificent start of the year for Baker to reach Nice final losing to Almagro. Best is yet to come for him, you have to think.
