    Hi all,

This is my first post after using this forum as a reference for some time now.

I just sold my Silent Partner Pro ball machine, and I have a Playmate Portable now. (the charger I sold the guy just broke)

My questions is this. Will a 12v battery tender work to charge the batteries in these machines safely? I spoke to Silent Partner and the guy Steve said that it is possible to get a charger from Radio Shack with the same specs and to get a smart charger or trickle charger as a cheaper alternative then ordering from him. they have smart battery chargers and it is supposed to be fully automatic.

Below is the info. Please let me know if anyone has any experience with this and if it will charge my 2 small 7.5-12v batteries that are wired in series.

The Battery Tender Junior is much more than a trickle charger. It has a brain. It's lightweight, compact, and fully automatic; very easy to use, especially in small spaces. It will keep your battery fully charged so that it is ready to go when you are!

Actually the batteries are wired in Parallel, not in Series I think.

I bought a battery charger and replacement batteries from for my Silent Partner. I called the 800 number and got a very helpful and knowledgable salesperson. My charger has been working well for a at least a year now.

Be careful not to hookup a 14V charger to the 7.5V battery. You may overheat the battery. As far as current is concerned, the lower the better. It will charge longer, but it is better for the battery.
