we get it it’s you’re username lol, he’s not going any higher than tsitsipas or any of the other “generational talent” of the last 7 years.

Where did this phrase "generational talent" come from? It's ubiquitous now, and not even very descriptive.

Me thinks you need to take a course in TTW replying/quoting/editing. :)

the cohort heralded by the primordial lost gen. oh how many tears have I wept

Talent wasn't their problem. If you look at Nishikori - Thiem group, you have injuries and the big 3, combined with the usual flakes.

I’ll be honest I’ve rarely heard it on this forum though I don’t go on GPPD much, but 2019-2021 tsitsipas, zverev, Shapo, etc were all insanely hyped and now I’m expecting to find them at some bar saying how they were this close to greatness.

don't forget Chung. The thing is Sinner and Alcaraz have said the kid will be top 20 for sure. Zev has been the disappointment. He should've had one before Med.

And that's true in Tsitsipas' case, some ways moreso and some ways less so for Zed, and not at all true for Shapo.

(I say that even though Shapo's probably my favorite of the trio)

We'll never know with Chung. His results were mixed and the chronic injuries buried him. A bit like Tommy Haas, perhaps.

His willingness to return to the court after all he's been through suggests he has more fight than the other three.

Remember Monfils' forehand winner against Novak at the Davis Cup? Well, that's a routine forehand for Fonseca.
I don't know if you realize how lucky we are. We have the biggest forehand in recent history facing one of the greatest prodigies, Carlos and one of the best baseliners of this era, Sinner.

He needs to show his improvement by beating Navone this time

He moves like Michelsen though, which is to say slightly better than Mpetshi Perricard. That could put a ceiling on him

His legs are still not there and he wins despite this deficit, reminds me in this regard of Sinner. The heft of that forehand at that tender age is more akin to Alcaraz.

In the last two-three decades only two elite players had elite speed and stamina seemingly from the go, Spaniards both.

its that poly string he's using.. its magic. i am going to switch to it as soon as i find out what that is so i can hit like him

Please let us know when you find the magic strings. I’ve been looking for them together with the shoes that make me run like Nadal, but every time I buy new gear, I end up playing just as badly.
