I think they have a thicker rubber lining or something that keeps the air molecules from escaping so they stay bouncy3 years???? opened balls???

just wanted to ask you again, because of this thicker rubber ----- do they play any differently.. and please can you give me the exact MODEL you are talking about?I think they have a thicker rubber lining or something that keeps the air molecules from escaping so they stay bouncy
I haven't noticed any difference, Pro Penn Marathonjust wanted to ask you again, because of this thicker rubber ----- do they play any differently.. and please can you give me the exact MODEL you are talking about?
the marathons do keep theri bounce longer, but 3 years? no way unless in a corney keg.
no corney keg... just sitting in a roller basket... they may not bounce like new... but for practice serves.. still fairly good to hit with..the marathons do keep theri bounce longer, but 3 years? no way unless in a corney keg.
It is odd how they stay newer looking, must be the better feltno corney keg... just sitting in a roller basket... they may not bounce like new... but for practice serves.. still fairly good to hit with..
and the felt last longer and cleaner.
+1 on tretorns for practice balls that last forever.I use my Tretorns. But I have a ball machine too.
You might get by with the Pro Penn just for serving. And they are cheaper.
Other reason I like the Tretorn is because I bought the 2 color (white / yellow) ball instead of the green. As I'm hitting 144 balls, easy to lose one on the neighboring court. Makes it easy to find and impossible for anyone else to mistake my ball for theirs.

that said, someone opens cans everytime we play (or a usta match, 5 courts of cans are opened), and no one keeps the "old" ones, so i do, and have like 3-4 hoppers overflowing with balls.

I'm going to try out the tretorn pressureless balls in my machine , maybe this summer
CoolI use the tretorn micro-x balls (I use in my ball machine) for serve practice all the time. Works great.
