Balls!

Looking at wilson's website, I see that their US Open balls come in 3 different variations: Extra Duty, Regular Duty, Light Duty, and High Altitude.

Anyone played with both Extra duty and Regular duty? What were the differences? Is one heavier or faster than the other? Was the Extra duty noticeably longer lasting?

Anyone tried the double core?

They all cost the same.

The extra duty balls have more frizz on them and are said to be rec'ed for hard courts and the regulare duty are said to be for clay and "indoor surfaces." Me, I really don't like the extra duty balls for any surface. They frizz up and slow down. I buy Pro Penn regular duty balls by the case and provide them when I play because they're faster and more solid feeling. However, extra duty balls do seem to be the standard for hard court tournaments and such.

I prefer the Dunlop extra duty championship balls. The last much longer than the Penn and Wilsons. The felts on the Dunlop do not fuzz up as much as the Wilsons.
