    Hi TW (Europe)!
Got a question about the '17 Barricade line fit. I usually wear Vapor 9.5s in size 44.0 (US 10) but have decided to switch away from those due to limited durability. I've been reading that the' 17 Barricades have a tighter fit than the previous lines. Would you recommend sizing up to EU 45?

Also, what is your policy on return shipping from Switzerland if I need to exchange them due to sizing? I am assuming that I'd pay the shipping back to the Germany warehouse, but does the import tax get charged again on crossing back into Switzerland?

    Hello Hnefi,

The Barricade 17 tennis shoes have a width slightly narrow through the midfoot but we normally recommend to order the usual size as the lenght is true to size. Compared to the Vapor 9.5 we recommend to order a 44.5 EU as this Nike model fit 1/2 bigger than usual.

In certain cases you might need to order a 45 EU due the slightly narrow widht but you would need to consider that the lenght would be slightly longer (+0.5 cm insole lenght).

Hope it helps, but if the size won't be good you can still exchange the shoes. For all our EU-customers and for all Switzerland customers we are offering a free return shipping service.

    Here more details: http://www.tenniswarehouse-europe.com/custservice/returns.html

About taxes unfortunately you will be responsible for all additional custom duties or fees so there might be extra costs, to have more detailed information about it I recommend you to contact our customer service at: information.en@tenniswarehouse-europe.com or call us at + 44 (0) 844 4990807.

Thanks and have a nice day,

    TWE Staff

I have the Vapor 9, 9.5 and Barricade 2017, I can confirm that the barricades arent as wide or as long a fit and you definatily need to go up half a size.
The barricades feel a little too tight at first, but after 40+ mins on courts they give to your foot shape and start feeling like the perfect fit (I should add that I wear two pairs of cushioned socks).

If there is one take away pice of advice.... Go a half size up!

Do you believe they'll sort out the durability issue for vapor 10's or will it remain the same in your opinion?

I have three pairs of vapors and now I know why the call them vapor 9.5.....
They vaporise $95 of your hard earned cash the moment you touch the court in them!

I'm not sure, but all I do know is that as a competitive player, the tradeoff of bad durability and paying for new shoes more frequently is well worth the performance that I can get out of the vapor 9.5s. At least for me.

But the problem with that is, the second coming of christ might happen first. They've had the 9.5 for what, five years now?

I ended up ordering the B'17s in 44.5, and so far they have been alright in terms of fit. Not amazing like the V9.5s but alright. Definitely noticing the tightness in the midfoot and I do not have fat feet by any means. Since it's indoor season though, I've only put 3h on them and it's possible they are still in the break-in phase.
