Baseline Racquet Recommendations. Please Help!

Which of the following racquets will serve me best as a baseline player. I love playing touch and angle shots and enjoy volleying when I do get the chance. I’m not a heavy hitter but supply my own power. My current choices are:

Fischer Pro No 1
Fischer Pro Tour Extreme FT
Yonex RDX 500 Mid
Babolat Aero Pro Control

Have to say that I currently favour the Pro Extreme FT although most(based on all the posts that I’ve read) would opt for the RDX 500 Mid.

I think that the Yonex RDX-500 Mid would suit you baselining game well. It has great touch and feel and when you can get to net great feel. I think the headlight and fairly lightweight racquet will let you generate enough head speed to control rallies even better.

Of the racquets you've mentioned I would say the Yonex is the best bet although I would recommend you try the midplus version. The Fischer Pro #1 is a fantastic racquet and not to be discounted. It is a lot better at net than the Yonex and has a crisper feel. Still, you've only got a few there so why not see if you can demo them all.
By the way, I agree with gmlasam and bob - think its a better frame than those you mentioned but the o/s isnt for everyone.

I'm going to politely disagree with my counterparts here. The Fischers are great frames. They have a unique "feel", and yes, most do not like how they feel in your hand.

But, there is a new one that I believe will suit you. Its the Pro Tour FT, the racquet that Karolina Sprem actually uses. It has better feel then the other Fischers and also has good specs.

My thought for you to try.

Although you probably don't want to be uncool and use an old Wilson racquet such as the ROK :P I recommend it as it was my old racquet. I could hang on the baseline with it all day with about 3 grams of lead tape total at the 3 and 9 position. Because the lead tape made it less maneuverable at the net, I was at the baseline almost all the time. With the lead tape and the dense string pattern, the ROK became quite powerful while still maintaining great control.

now, as I find myself coming to the net more often than not and than I like to, I have gone to the RDX500 mid and I have become considerably better at the net than before.

There does not seem to be a lot of good comments on the Fischer Pro Tour Extreme FT in general. Why is that?
