how common is that?
i have tried it. stick to tennis.
I get basketball shoes pretty cheap, and depending on what models you use, they can be pretty good for tennis. They can be some that are too heavy and don't last very long but it's a good alternative when you want extra cushioning.
basketball shoes are comfortable but they wear out EXTREMELY fast .however, alot of people i know that dont play tennis alot wear basketball shoes when they do play since they dont have to worry about wearing them out.
there was a long thread talking about htis a while ago
i would only wear them if i needed more ankle support, but i have a brace so i wouldnt bother, they arent as comfortable
that's what i use to play
BBall shoes were designed for wood courts and would probably tear up quickly.
I like BB shoes, because there are a lot of mids to pick from.
