Lubicic was there. Rkelly was there too. Lubicic and Fed were having some kind of semi-serious dicussion during the hitting. Something about 'finding the right people'. Haha. That was interesting. Delpo and djoko had a good hit but delpo stopping early and left the court. They were having really long rallies. Mutiple 30 40 50 ball rallies. Later he was practicing on another court. A lot of players practiced twice. Ive never seen that before at Indian Wells. Jankovic won her match and then was on the practice court 10 minutes later.

They were complaining about LeeD being too far away to come and hit with Federer. Federer is looking for very high level players to prepare for matches against Nadal and Djokovic, but LeeD refused the private jet that had been arranged for him.

Maybe you should request a forum for local events. It would be nice to know about stuff going on (for me) in my state (which is usually nothing) and Boston (lots of stuff goes on but not much media about it).

I was thinking more of warming someone up as kind of a sub.

Sorry to say it guys but the oldie pros don't know how to hit with top spin. Excellent touch, directional control, slices, and side spin drives, but forehand is basically just a slice-drive. I think it was very difficult to hit top spin with the small woodies with which they learned.
There seems to be no connection between that game and today's game. I now understand why Oscar thought top spin was revolutionary. We take it for granted today but it did not even seem to exist back then.

Rod Laver was known for his topspin forehand and backhand but his arm is in such bad shape today that maybe he can't hit those shots anymore. I remember watching Stan Smith at Longwood and he had what would be considered a flat for hand today. It was flat with a little topspin.
I couldn't find any decent videos of Lutz, singles or doubles, on YouTube.
If you want to see why it was so hard, pick up a 65 Sq In racquet and hit with it for a while. My guess is that you can find them for $5 .
