I’m not a fan of either player but rooting for Zverev today. The Meddy hype is getting annoying so it would be good if another next generation player put him in his place and show him that it’s not all about Medvedev.

What I really wanna see people try agians Medvedev is off pace balls that aren't slice.
Yeah, cause he’s feeding off the pace of his opponents shots. BTW - that’s how Djokovic beat him in Australia, of course Medvedev has improved since that time but still the point stands.

I think the deceptive thing about Medvedev is safe, conventional point construction doesn't work, and nobody has properly adjusted to that.

Djokovic can simply play the same style and do it better if he's playing his A game, but he's melted down in Bo3 randomly way too often.

How has Zverev won all 4 matches against Medvedev yet? I mean, this guy can lose to anyone on any day, so why never to Medvedev who surely was a dangerous opponent even before becoming the player of the last few months?

The only match on tour that matters right now is Nadal vs Medvedev lol
Mad lad will beat Nadal the next time they face. It is inevitable. He will be better , stronger and faster. Nadal will be older, weaker and slower. think Rafa knew that at the end of the US open. That is why he cried. Because it might be the last one..

The rivalry defining the next 5 years will be Novak vs Medvedev.

He cried because he was relieved and happy after a stressful match, not bc he thinks it's his last.

Lol if it wasn't for the crowd going nuts for more tennis and Nadal missing a SUPER easy smash on BP it would have ended in 3. Don't be so sure.

How do you think Nadal will win more slams outside of clay. He cannot bear Federer or Novak. And Medvedev will be better the next time they face. Keep in mind Nadal will be older.

Nadal has had far more stressful matches and never cried. He cried because of relief and the fact that he likely will not get another chance.

Why is Medvedev playing every 2nd shot off balance? Come on, it’s not clay so he can’t blame bad bounces. I understand all this need to have „a new” champion but this guy’s tennis is just ugly to watch.

He cried bc they showed a video of how epic his career was and he got closer than he ever has been to Federer :D
Lol Fed will be a non factor next year, hate to break the news to you, and Novak the snowman is already melting. I've heard for the last 6 years Nadal is done off clay and yet here he is ;) most slams won after 30 and just defended a HC title.

I don't know man, I don't see it that way.
