BB London Tour 93in2 Club

What happened Donnayblack. You sang the praises of this racket in earlier posts. You are a far more accomplished player than myself. I grew up playing with rackets with far smaller heads than 93 so the small sweet spot is not an issue for me. As alluded to an earlier post I will switch between this racket the the Prestige MP depending on the day

Newly acquired this frame from TW, I've been checking this frame out for awhile then sometime last week, I happened to check out he BB frame. Noticed TW ran a unadvertised special sale on the London Tour - without hesitation, I ordered a copy strung it with Solinco Bite 17g (50lbs) also on special.
I checked TW the next day, price was back up at $65.
Frame arrived yesterday, the paintjob and quality of the frame is top notch.
I'll take it out on the court tomorrow to see how it plays.

APG- thanks for the shout out. You're right, I do LOVE this stick. However, I've decided it's too flexy for me. I decided to move on to the Blade 93... much more pop with not as much flex. I still have mine if anyone is interested in taking it off my hands!:)

DB, I now have 4 with the great TW price. 1 unstrung.
Mine weighted with hockey tape, 2 grams 10/2 and 3 at 12,
3 in handle. Minimum deadness in hoop and such good feel.
It fits my flatter style. Good luck with the Wilson 93. I hit with it but felt so harsh had some hybrid strings real tight. Probably my preferred gut and low tension would make it play entirely different.

Hi,

How much was the unadvertised special sale price? Anyone know?

I wonder if TW would give that price if asked. Never seen a racket's price goes back up.

Anyone still using this stick.I assume not many. However, I keep gravitating back to the Tour.
Mine are strung with gut/Cyclone Tour. Customized with weight spread out over 8 mains at 12, 3 grams 3/9 and a BB leather grip and Yonex Overgrip. This is a solid stick that has comfort, control and accessible spin. Never could relate to play testers review.
Perhaps my customization has spread out the sweet spot a bit but I have no trouble generating power with this set up. I am an old school guy so it just might be a matter of what one is used to.

I keep coming back to London Tour too. Few other racquets can match it in the feel. I only have an overgrip and a dampener and still find it has plenty of power... my hitting partners say it produced a heavier ball. granted i usually play with low powered frames.
Very special racquet. Definitely one of my favorites.

Right now, I'm hitting with the Six.One 95 16x18, but the London Tour is still in the rotation. I don't think I'll ever completely walk away from that racquet.

Your friend/my coach is using it2!

A friend of mine who have played with IG Prestige Mid for over one year is currently looking for something slightly more forgiving while still control oriented with great feel. He tried the Prestige MP but much prefer the quicker feel of a midsize. Would the London Tour be a good recommendation for him?
