Hello,

I'am new in tennis , my first tennis game was on monday ,30 may . I played 2 hours and now I'm still recovering from muscles pain :)
The problem is that also my feets (toes) hurts alot because I wear it some old Adidas ,smaller size . I decided it to buy brand new pair or shoes , what I need from this shoes is :

1. To feel well with it , I understand break periods..never occured ever but I see people keep argue abaut it on 3.3 and Barricade 6 models.

2. Good breathable shoes !

3. All courts .

4. As a begginer I would like cheaper , I tend to look for CB 3.1 for only 70usd ,but I dont know if they breath well ...Next one could be CB 1.3 ,the problem with this model is that I can find it only locally were its quite expensive = 100usd , with this money I can buy CB 3.3 ,but are they better ? Peple say 1.3 and 2.3 versions does not have the narrow effect and break in period like 3.3 has -but I read some forum posts that the only issue for 1.3 version is breathability . I dont know exatcly what is 'the real' difference between 3.3 and 3.1/1.3 in terms of breathability ,but if its a huge one I rather buy the expensive 3.3 model . Abaut Adidas Barricade 6.0 I can only say this : While some colours of Nike CB 3.3 (grey/red) get lower in price down to 83usd , Barricade 6.0 hold tight to 102usd ,this may be to some real bad reviews on CB 3.3 .

here 2k10 are at 140usd ,with this money i can buy from tennis wear latest cb 3.3. Thats the main issue ,here all shoes are 30 to 50% more expensive. Only shoe that is the same in price is cb 3.1 . I rather buy a better shoe for same amount from here. But if you think its to heavy for my tennis level i understand.

one question abaut size ,its true that tennis shoes are generally narrow and we need half size bigger ? I just try it 2,3 pairs very poor models of Nike tennis shoes and it was extremly tight for my usual us 10,only the 10.5 size fit well . Normal Nike running shoes I fit on 10.

well, my CB 3.3 and running shoes are 10.5 US and they fit me well, while for soccer shoes, I wear size 10 US but I feel a little bit too small for my feet but I like to wear a really fit or smaller soccer shoes, but if I want a fit soccer shoes, I should wear size 10.5 US.. so it is the same size for my running, soccer and tennis.. but I know basketball shoes normally are bigger and wider.. so sometimes maybe it depends on what style and brand you are using.. my brother has flat and wide feet, his shoes are size 12 US, but Nike size 12 can't fit in his feet, while Adidas Barricade shoes fit his feet very well in size 12..

My recommendation to you is, go to your local store and try to wear them and feel which one is the best for your feet.. I know you want to the best shoes for you with a good price, but even if the shoes are the best for others, doesn't really mean it will be the best for you.. brand is not a big problem as I have Adidas, Lotto, Diadora shoes either for other sports such as basketball and soccer and I still can use it for playing tennis.. different people have different preferences like I wear Nike while my brother wears Adidas, we are siblings but we have different preferences, so just try the shoes first and feel the difference as you don't need to pay money to try, and from your choices, CB 1.3, 3.1 and 3.3 are from Nike, while Barricade is from Adidas, which means you need to go only to 2 stores to get the shoes.. goodluck.. :)

Yes ,but the problem is that I can only try out Nike 1.3 version and Barricade 6 . 3.3 is not in stock locally . So if I fit in 1.3 I should fit fine in 3.3 ? CB 1.3 its 115usd localy while CB 3.3/Adidas Barricade 6 its 144usd with delivery included version . So you advice me not to order anything before I try that model in my foot ? I thought I can follow size table only :( In that case I can only choose from Barricade 6 and CB 1.3.

thank you

ic.. I am not sure about CB 1.3 as I don't have the 1.3.. but for sizing, I think Nike shoes are general, I mean if you have other Nike shoes either running or soccer or other sports (I don't think I can recommend you basketball shoes), then it should be approximately your size for tennis shoes.. I don't think there will be much differences in length, but for width, I could say, some shoes are different including within Nike themselves.. or if you have tennis friends, you can ask them to borrow their shoes for fitting, so you can estimate the size.. I mix shoes and racquets with my friends if I am not sure whether they are good for me or not.. my foot length is approximately 28 -28.5cm.. :) for Barricade 6, I think the size is a little bit bigger for larger feet, but no need to change the number, maybe you will just have a small extra space, and I think it is breathable compare to the shoes which are really fit your feet.. hope this helps..

One thing about the CB series that I found was that they have a very unique fit compared to other nikes so make sure that your foot falls into the general fit(i.e. arch support, width, toe box, cushioning). For me B6 was a good fit but generated a crease on the upper when walking/running right between the start of the laces and my big toe so that was not working.

yeah, I agree with you.. if the feet don't fall into general fit, then they should move up half or 1 size bigger.. but still you can feel the narrow effect for CB 3.3 though..

Also read the cutomer feedback. A lot of times when a shoe has multiple bad reviews it will give you some indication on the fit. (i.e. if the fit is narrow; people width wide feet will leave negative feedback) I wish I would have read all the feedback before ordering CB 2.3 on sale which did not fit me well at all

my foot is 27.9 cm ,so I must be in General Fit table for 28.

yeah, your feet is in General Fit.. also I am agree with bigmalik76, if you can't try the shoes, feedback will be important as you have knowledge about the condition of the shoes.. :) and if you really think price from stores are expensive, try bay as if you are lucky, you can get your size with cheaper price.. some used shoes are fine if they are still in great conditions, as they could really worth your money if you like the shoes..

I decide it to search CB 2.3 which have awesome reviews ! I only found it in one place this great shoe , all review show up that size we have it fits exatly !
But new problems already occured :) On seller page he was saying that it was small for him ,thats why he sell it, After I order it the shoes today(which are almost brand new ) size 10us ,9uk,Eu44, 28cm , I recontact it the seller asking him details abaut why he didnt fit well on this shoes ..He told me hes shoe size is 43 ! and this 44 was small for him  . He told he is a size M on tshirts so he is more massive than me (M size ) ...Now I dont know if I should pick up this package or Not ! I just measured all my summer shoes inside with a Measuring roulette and they all are between 27.7 to 28 cm .

which part he feels small? width or length? because as everyone has said before, width of the feet play some important role to determine the shoes.. I am size 10.5 US since Breathe Cage II, and I never have any problems until now.. I have CB 2.3 for AO 2010 and USO 2010 size 10.5 US, and they fit really perfect for me. I am also size M, height 168cm weight 65kg (gained 5-7 kg in 1month! lol) so until 1 month ago, I was 58-60 kg, but I am still fine with my CB 2.3 and 3.3 (although 3.3 is a bit narrow, but I still feel fine with it).. Maybe you can ask the seller again in which part he feels small either width or length or maybe his feet is not under general sizing..

The auction is win it by me . I can't go back no , I'am pretty sure this shoe will fit me well (All my shoes are 28cm inside) . The only thing that can happent is for the show to be narrow (which cant be possible due to all reviews ) . The seller may not be uder general fit.. And hey ! Nadal it wears 1 size smaller shoes :)

I just recived Barricade 6 ,size 10 1/2 , great shoes ,fit perfect . o reviews confir that we need 1/2 up . Just waiting for Nike 2.3 10 size .
